Is there a status report on Montembeault or L.Thompson? Curious if either will be back next game or in the series

It was nice to see Laine with the Boys after the game genuinely Happy and invested in his team.
The problem is this team is a different animal speed wise without him and the way to beat the Caps is to out skate them.
I expect they will try everything they can to slow us down through the neutral zone in game 4.

I think Thompson was concussed earlier in the game, perhaps when he got clipped by Nick’s stick. His last concussion was from just a puck to the mask. And after the stick last night he couldn’t catch one shot. Seemed to be shaking his head. I’m no concussion expert (where were the spotters?) but that followed by how long he stayed down and how woozy he appeared when he got up (not just being unable to put weight on his leg) after he got massacred by Strome leaves me to believe that there is no way he plays again this year. The leg alone (MCL? ACL?) would likely keep him out. But his head? That could be really troublesome. I hope he makes a complete recovery on both counts.

It's why we can't have him next year. His cannon is nice and all, but our PP would be better without him now that Demidov is here. His presence renders our PP static and predictable.

He was a good soldier during the season. He scored a ton of goals to help us win games. He’s now a casualty of war. But whatever this team achieves he was an integral part of it.

It wasn’t Nick’s stick!

St Louis' job now is to make sure the team keeps the right balance of focus and emotions. Have the right guys target their assholes and cause shit... that leave the top line do their job instead of being hammered into submission. Keep the discipline too. Just do the right amount of shit stirring and if it comes to blows, take their key guys off the ice.

And NO LAINE - even if he's ready.

Go HABS Go!!!!

He also took a wicked slapper from Gallagher on a collar bone. I say Logan should take a rest for... oh, I don't know... about 4 games.
