For years the Leafs and fans were clamouring for players that worked hard, played with some physicality and were attentive to detail.

Kerf, Galy, Jumbo, even Nash do all that.

They are never going to be point per game guys, but all they need to do is never take a shift off, chip in occasionally and especially for Jumbo and Nash, keep the room calm.

Glad some of the fanbase isn't in charge of setting lines.

Go a game without a point and stapled to the bench. Make a mistake. Off the team.

I'm not a fan of this CIBC panel, Bieksa occasionally points out some good stuff but the rest feels like it's meant for fans that are new and they just point out obvious shit. Botterill always sounds too formal, Hrudey has issues speaking, Friedman is a behind-the-scenes guy not a good analysis guy, and Cassie is okay as a colour commentator but really nothing to contribute analytically.

Dangle's intermission stuff is better but I don't usually watch the games live.

Thornton and Nash are too slow to work hard. I'd say Hyman and Mikhaeyev do. The team forgot their identity imo and went too far in the other direction. Needed to add hard working players without giving up speed.

I don't know why people don't recognize that the focal point of their coverage is the home team. They did the same in the first two games when everyone bitched about the Matthews coverage.
