Short leash for Bolduc is a bit much but whatever. Would have been ok if slow-witted Dobson attempted to force an outcome there but whatever to that too. Salo was never given a fair shot.
I agree with the Salo comment , from my observations albeit limited I felt he was by far the better of the two.

To be fair, Salo didn’t pick up an NHL job this summer.

Maybe that choice was intentional and he’ll explore coming back to the NHL after hopefully stringing together a few successful seasons overseas, but it not’s like he went on to bigger and better pastures.

The only “guys that got away” were like Burroughs and Wotherspoon who are replacement players.

Kyle MacLean 12 games, 0 points, -7 (+/-) which is team worst.

Following the footsteps of players like Fasching, Andreoff, Czarnik, Johnston and Bardreau.

Shouldn’t we have known the flash in the pan overachievers from the AHL never amount to much long term for the Isles?
We’re lucky his cap hit can be fully buried. His lack of success is part of the reason NYI’s depth has been shit.

Man Bolduc blew his chance, hope this kid licks his wounds and gets back to work at the Bridge. Don't see George doing too well as a raw 20-year-old.
Maybe it’s just the way he skates, but Boy George’s edgework always reminded me of another pure defensive defenseman Nik Hjalmarsson.

Which one of you clowns ran to that terrible blogger telling him the Islanders are interested in Xhekaj? There’s enough 7th defenseman on this roster, they don’t need the Habs overrated one too.
Arber is a bad defenseman and he's not worth our time. The real one would've been Kovacevic or Harris, and I doubt Lamoriello wanted either

I swear that Mike Fink guys takes are worse then Andrew Gross’ interview capabilities. Arber would try to throw a hit on someone and miss terribly before they get scored on.

Have to disagree - Arber is my type of D man - mean, strong, big, and aggressive. Kovacevic is waiver fodder and Harris is a Smurf.

Arber is 23 and has potential to be a very good shutdown D - we don’t have the pieces to land him anyway.

And if we're going to spend assets on a D, it should be a top 4 LH, PMD who can man the PP.
