To the cynics....he came in during a 6-1 blowout in their last game against Dynamo. Only 9 minutes of action (yeah I know, not good but such a small sample). Playoff Game before 23 minutes and no goals against (although few shots):

Season extract for Miftakhov. Actually a pretty consistent performance with 4 shutouts. He was clearly the #2 for his team though.
Before being inserted in the last couple of playoff games, he had not seen action for a month. He had a run of 9 straight games from end of Nov. through end of Dec. that was pretty good too. Still looks like an AHL filler but we will see next year of course:

yeah I assumed this was a move for a #3 at most here. Wouldn't be shocked if we go out and sign someone like old man Reimer to be the actual #3, have Mift get reps in the A splitting time with him, and let Khaz roll as the clear #1 in Greensboro.

Reminds me a bit of Kooch, had a great string of solid games and finished the year like dogshit...only 3 of his last 10 (excluding playoff games as "relief") were >.900 But that's purely stat-watching, never seen him play to say if it's how he plays or if he got left out to dry constantly.
