They’ve come out and said they aren’t expecting to make the playoffs. You have 3 young centers, it’s time to see what you have in them.

Maybe the situation is fluid and, due to whatever trade talks they’ve had, a center that fits the plan could be available. Heck, given what just took place in Pittsburgh, perhaps management is seeing an opportunity to take another step.
