Hague can't defend at all.
He's also a pretty bad skater. Two for one. He'll fit right in then

Leaf fan coming in peace here. I have no idea what Kreiders value is. I also assume he has leafs on his no trade list.
But do the leafs have anything that could make it worth it?
Ben Danford, Easton Cowan. Leafs don’t have much of quality prospect depthLeaf fan coming in peace here. I have no idea what Kreiders value is. I also assume he has leafs on his no trade list.

that sounds about right. i’d sacrifice value on kreider to save more cap spaceYour 2nd and 3rd.
I'm not sure the Rangers need another guy who can't skate. The Rangers should trade for Jason Robertson
These things go in cycles. Remember the terrible signings of 2016 Free Agency? It was at the very end of an era when big power forwards were in vogue. The came the speed and finesse style that lasted a few seasons. The reason is because in this game big teams eventually catch up to smaller ones in speed, skills and ability, until speed, skills and ability get to the next level.Which is telling, because Zegras was reportedly high on Gorton's draft list until we won the lottery.
Enough with the finesse guys. Give me the bulls in a china shop, the guys who win battles and thrive in the dirty areas of the ice.
I feel like Laf can be that, but he needs to play with other players like that. Put him with Cuylle and Miller.
We need to trade Panarin. To me, he is the first one that has to go in order to change the culture. And we'll get a significant return for him. I'd move Mika before Kreider, but I don't know if it would be possible. Ideally, they'd both go and bring back younger players.
I'm more in favor of getting Fox help than I am trading him, but I could see moving him if we were going to completely blow it up. In any deal for any of these players, it's going to depend on the return. I don't want to go all futures. We need to get some young roster players.

Rs should keep but to extend courtesy of an answer, at full pop no retention, no deadwood contracts, and presuming we can't add to CK to get Knies, then I would say 2 seasons, 2 2nds, 2025 + 2026 BUT since you don't haveLeaf fan coming in peace here. No.
Robertson is a nice player but he's not a needle mover.
Tkachuk really was the perfect target but Larry Brooks ruined the organization's chance at landing him. It's the Buffalo situation all over again with Eichel. Ownership would veto any move to the Rangers because of personal shit slinging bullshit. It sucks but it is what it is.
Brady is going to Florida to play with his brother when he's up for a new deal.
I'll pull Kreider in a tour bus to Dallas for Robertson. You guys are crazy.
Is there anyone quite like Fox in the NHL? Maybe I'm just drawing a blank right now but he is a bit of an enigma IMO. He doesn't really look the part unless you're really paying attention to him and looking at advanced stats. I just think it would be hard finding cup winners with guys like Fox because there aren't many guys like Fox.I'm not saying to trade Fox but is it possible we also need a different style 1st D along with Fox? I ask this because of physical reasons. This is not bashing Fox but I think we can all agree that while he is a very smart NHL player he is not physical and is one of the slower skaters. I was trying to think of a Cup champion that ever won a cup with a slow AND non physical as a combination at 1D. I could not remember any. Granted my memory is bad so please let me know who I may have missed. Once again I'm not bashing Fox who has excelled in his own way. I'm just asking because if we need to add a different kind of #1D in addition to Fox than we should make that our first or second priority imo.
I’d rather have Robertson between the two and it’s not even a tough decisionNo.

Robertson is skilled and it’s something this team sorely lacks. The speed is certainly a concern.
But like, Matthew Tkachuk is the slowest player in the league and alot of people in this thread cream their jeans about him
So the whole speed argument isn’t exactly moving me on this one

Yeah, in the regular season, but that doesn’t matter when the real season starts. We need 16-game players; guys who don't care that they're not earning paychecks and only want to win the Stanley Cup. Robertson has never been a point per game player with a much better supporting cast in Dallas. He could've gone out and showed up this year after Jim Nill showed their faith in them by acquiring Mikko Rantanen. Big, strong, Cup Winner, one of the best playoff performers to ever do it.Robertson is a much better player than Brady Tkachuk

He turns 26 in July and just scored 41 goals.robertson reads like a guy who’s about to fall off a cliff
