Knoblouch has a lot of dino coach to him. This is not a knock, dino coaches do dino things because they generally work. But the Rangers aren't missing out on any great tactics other than employing Connor McDavid.

It's crazy, i really realized watching these playoffs...Mika and Panarin make Connor and Leon look like fooking Tom Wilson and Sam Bennett in terms of physicality and getting into altercations and going to the 'hard' areas (yea cliche, but true).

The fact that they aren't nearly good enough alone in skill (mainly 93) and they are huge p***yes on top of it is just infuriating. Even a guy like Kucherov is a dirty prick in the playoffs too which is what you want from your top guys. The only comparable to other playoff teams top guys are the Maple Leafs and mauybe Hurricanes in terms of p***yfication.

Plus, while a guy like Aleks Barkov isn't confrontational at all, he at least holds the puck below the goal line and grinds in the corners and takes hits and spins off guys to make plays.

Sometimes you really hate being a fan of this team and org.

I think that would be the plan but beyond that if the guy is going to cop that attitude (hypothetically speaking, I have no idea how he’d react. I don’t think he’d pull the flight risk card fwiw) then he’s free to go.

We need to stop being deathly afraid of moving him though. If this ever does get turned around he isn’t likely to be a part of it.

2 ECFs off a rebuild is probably a better than average outcome.

The rebuild goes a lot slower and more to traditional plan if Adam Fox and Igor Shesterkin don't fall from the sky as ready made no development necessary top-5 players at their positions in their 2nd years. Oddly enough you can blame them more than anything.

I dont think he's threatening. I think he's saying once his career with the Rangers is done he wants to go to Russia. He doesn't owe the organization the "right" to get assets in a trade. Sometimes I think ppl here play too much NHL 25, you can't always turn an asset into future pieces. Especially when they have a NMC.

There's maybe 10-20 players in the league that can make some of the seam passes Panarin pulls off. But okay that leaves you 50-70 points short of his production. Still seems shitty to me.

Like it or not that's the most likely scenario. Maybe Kreider moves. Less likely but maybe KAM and/or Laf. I highly doubt Zib or Bread move.

The team isnt going to be worse next year. Theyll be better by default even if they do nothing. But I doubt they do nothing.
