I feel like we can't make any big moves unless Panarin's contract is gone. Drury needs to decide what we are doing this year. Are we competing or taking a step back to retool? If we are retooling, trade Panarin. Why keep him if we aren't competing? Unless they want to see where they are at the deadline and possibly trade even more assets? At some point we need to pick a direction and stick with it.

You're assuming that Panny will go willingly. I doubt it.

In any event, I don't think he leaves before the trade deadline.

However it must be said that the subset of online crazies with charts does intersect with the subset that was meant.

Nothing wrong with Gallant and Lavi as coaches .....Drury just failed to add the right pieces they needed when they were needed . Gallant and Lavi had 3 great 100 plus point seasons.....probably as good a 3 season stretch in NHL history....I doubt there were many better . The problem has been drafting-developing and trades and dumb signings like Nemeth . Coaching was the least of our woes .
