I just don't know what the value of Panarin is and where'd he be willing to go.
I think somewhere that would give him a nice extension. I’m sure he’d like a 4 year extension in place with any deal. 33-37 years old

Signing Toews ultimately means you are jettisoning off one of our current players that are not named Zibanejad, Kreider, or Panarin.Signing him to a PTO would make the most sense.
Power, Samuelsson (don’t start you), and Tuch were the specific ones, but a few others wouldn’t shock me. That organization can’t get out of their own way.Who else did he throw out?
Honestly speaking you could probably list the entire team and it would be true.
Those were my exact comments the other day too. I’m also not sure if it’s just an unfamiliarity thing with Peterka, but he’s been a better 5v5 scorer than Laf too. I won’t compare the PP scoring because he gets way more of a look there than Laf. Better skater, more of a puck hound, and has managed to produce in the barren wastleand that’s Buffalo. And yet everyone wonders why Buffalo would ever consider a trade around RFA Peterka for 7 years signed Lafreniere

I love Laf. I don’t want to trade him. It just wouldn’t surprise me if it happened, and it makes sense for both teams.
need to recognize that at full retain zib as a core piece to ANA or LA is doable, and I think he goes if he gets that things are gonna be very sour for him very quickly hereNeed someone to sell Zibs and Kreider on Buffalo
I don't care if we overpay just give me Sam Bennett with Lafreniere & Cuylle on a line
We are NOT retaining 50% on Mika in any universe.need to recognize that at full retain zib as a core piece to ANA or LA is doable, and I think he goes if he gets that things are gonna be very sour for him very quickly here
hold Kreider

we ended 2025 with this lineup:
Panarin-Trochek-Perrault
Othmann-Miller-Lafreniere
Kreider-Zibanejad-Cuylle
Brodzinski-Carrick-Rempe
...
Edstrom-Parssinen-Berard
Kaliyev
There was a lot of clamoring to get Berard into the lineup more for his play. We can send Perrault to HFD for seasoning. No one will cry over losing Kaliyev. Drury seemed high on Parssinen and he had a decent showing at the WCs. But generally, we have too many players. Probably not a lot of teams who are in a position to do 2 for 1 or even 3 for 1 trades.
Yup, we missed the Bennett bus. Easier said than done, but we need to find the next Bennett, not overpay for the originalSam Bennett is gonna be the worst contract ever signed in 2 years. I think he's in the perfect scenario for himself, he wasn't near this good in Calgary, who's to say it will work when he gets somewhere else?
Half season of Brock Nelson having a bad year gets you a 1st and a teams best prospect. Full season of Panarin should be an NBA trade level haul. Pointless to discuss either way because trading him is dumbI just don't know what the value of Panarin is and where'd he be willing to go.
Minnesota has no need for a LD. Not sure Buffalo makes that deal but I wouldn’t have an issue taking a chance on Power. We have plenty of wingers.Does Kandre for Rossi, Lafreniere for Power move anybody? Could see the Rangers liking a Tuch/Byram for Lafreniere+. Have to think Buffalo would like that 7 year deal he’s on

My wife SHOULD invite Rashida Jones into our bedroom, but based on how unlikely it is, I gave up after suggesting it three times.what we should do and what we may actually do can be 2 different things

37 year old Jonathan Toews hasn’t played a game in 2 years and some of you want him on this team? Exceptionally regarded group.
