Toews makes more sense for a Devils or Washington over the non POs Rangers.
Signing him to a PTO would make the most sense.I’d sign Toews to a 1 year deal. That would make some sense

I think Toews goes to one of two places, either Winnipeg or Anaheim.
Winnipeg is home, they're a contender, and could use another center on their roster with Lowry out until the new year.
Anaheim is Quenneville. If someone is going to give him a shot I think this is the place based on their current roster's age and his experience. If Quenneville wants a coach among the players, he'd probably take Toews over any other veteran signing.
Would I want him to be the 4C on the Rangers? Wouldn't be their worst move, but is that the kind of shakeup Drury is looking for? You already have Carrick, and while he has warts, he was pretty good in that role this season. He was forced to play above his weight too much, especially when Mika moved to the wing. Toews being penciled in as anything more than this is foolish, he's missed so much time and this wasn't a 25 year old recovering missing two seasons, this was a 35 year old. I do think he could help with some of their locker room issues.
Outside of that, I'm sure the list of contenders would be there for him, but no real security. I think these two spots provide that comfort and security he'd want. The other could be Chicago just because that's where he has been, but they kind of sent him off a few years ago. Dark horse would be Detroit reuniting with Kane and DeBrincat.
Toews is signing in WPG I would think.
Rangers should trade Soucy, when they do they’ll have around $14M in cap if you consider Gabe, Berard and Othmann in HFD.
That’s plenty of maneuverability. I think only one of those guys starts with the big club.
Prob have to trade Kreider to have any kind of real change tho
Yes. And just because that they have to talk with Toews about a one year in New York. If he is healthy I think he would be great for this team. All cap flexibility should be pointed at McDavid until he isn't a possibility imo. I'd even make it known (without tampering) that we will be waiting with a bag of money.
I'm rooting for his comeback but I do not think we are the place for him imo.Yes. And just because that they have to talk with Toews about a one year in New York. If he is healthy I think he would be great for this team.
I just don't know what the value of Panarin is and where'd he be willing to go.Kreider and Panarin need to go. That’s the change.
I truly think Soucy is staying.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jones and Miller go too
Seravalli throwing out even more names of players unhappy in Buffalo. That’s why I was making the point of cost certainty being important for them. Sending out Cozens only to bring back Norris who they’ll have locked in for 5 more years was a calculated move by them.
Whether it does or doesn’t happen with the Rangers, I think a lot of people are gonna be surprised at some of the names they move out this summer.
And yet everyone wonders why Buffalo would ever consider a trade around RFA Peterka for 7 years signed LafreniereSeravalli throwing out even more names of players unhappy in Buffalo. its notIm telling you, its far more realistic than people think
No fat jokes left so many i switch to making fun of balding people
Barkov's are not hanging on treesDrury's obviously aiming for Florida's blueprint, but it's so rare that it all comes together the way it needs to.
I would be so sad if this shitty organization allows that season to be Kreiders lastDon't get too realistic, now!
Running it back with maybe some random grinder instead of Kreider is depressing me.
