Some Rangers fans like seeing their team get beat up.Trade one of consistent physical defenseman the Rangers have. Rather trade K'Andre Miller over Schneider. I guess Rangers fans love soft defense that doesn't hit or play defense. What's next resign Ryan Lindgren this summer. It would cost way more than Schneider for Peterka.
Which is fair and what he negotiated.Truth!
Would have been 1 mil+ higher AAV if not for the NMC. Mika left money on the table to stay a Ranger for the rest of his career.
Im telling you, its far more realistic than people thinkWhat makes you think we would sign DeAngelo?
Goodrow wasn't worth his cap hit. This past year, neither was Mika. He needs to step up or GTFO.Which is fair and what he negotiated.
NYR have to be consistent. We ditched Goodrow because he didn't leave money for a NMC. Mika has earned the right to play here. They can ask him to waive, heck if thy get desperate hey can demote him in the lineup, but that's all they should be doing.
Based on what? What evidence do you have to support that claim?Im telling you, its far more realistic than people think

If that's true, it suggests the opposite of what he is claiming. He had a source that said that Drury was responsible for DeAngelo being axed the first time even though Gorton was the GM.
webster, look in the mirror before you talkNot sure who is more delusional. You or Bern.
Suprised we haven’t heard much of Jones in trade talks from our beatwriters. Cant imagine he’s on the team next year after he voiced his opinion last season.
Shaw isn’t enough of a retread for the Rangers. What’s Jacques Martin up to?The Rangers already suffered their first loss this offseason when Brad Shaw joined the Devils staff. I thought Shaw would have been perfect for the Rangers. He has a very good track record working with defensemen in his various NHL stops. St. Louis. Columbus. Philadelphia.
Dave Pagnotta had that information last week. He turned out to be correct. Pagnotta also had the Rangers looking to move Artemi Panarin a few weeks ago. Hopefully, the Rangers do move Panarin this summer.
Why didn't the Rangers hire Shaw? Maybe Shaw didn't want to move. I am assuming Shaw lives in south Jersey. The Flyers usually are based in that area. It's a long drive from south Jersey to Newark but it's not impossible. Shaw wants to be a head coach. Maybe he feels Sheldon Keefe's job status is shaky. I read something about the Devils being interested in hiring Mike Sullivan last summer if he was available. If the Rangers didn't have a coaching vacancy this spring, maybe the Devils would have fired Keefe to hire Sullivan.
I read Pat Verbeek was interested in Steven Stamkos last summer. Maybe Verbeek is interested in Panarin. Joel Queeneville is there.
EF is reporting the Rangers are testing the market for K'Andre Miller. He reported Bowen Byram was on the market a few weeks ago. Some people heard the pod. They told EF to add Miller to his list of available D. His name is definitely out there.
I'm not sure he has a reliable 40P in him starting next season. I'm also not sure he has a 50P pop-off in a few years.![]()

No, Panarin most likely wouldn't be interested in moving to play for a new franchise in his last remaining contract year.![]()
