And remember, KAM is a former F. If we do wind up w/enuf quality D somehow, we could always return this guy to F and have him as an emergency depth D.

Yes, his tools are evident. From what I’ve seen, the toolbox is lacking.

I don’t think he will be sold on the cheap. He will bring a strong return. I’ve said this all along. He represents Drury’s best chance to fleece another team in a trade.

They just signed him to an extension literally 12 months ago. He's not going anywhere.

Sometimes the other team is just better. If the Rangers had Guentzel last year or the Hurricanes has Rantonnen this year, I don't think either is beating Florida.

I think because Drury as a player here had the personality of a sloth, and he's very corporate and uptight is why people dislike him. He's not the "yeah I'd get a beer with him" kind of guy.

He also prefers very unspectacular meat and potatoes players who don't have much flash. So there's a lack of excitement.

Nobody here knows him personally so how can anybody form an opinion? I don't pay attention to bullshit reports or tweets, sorry. I'm neutral on Drury, i'm thankful he got rid of some of the dead weight but unhappy about other things too. The players on the ice have to perform period

I'm not saying I agree with it. I'm saying that given the lack of playoff success the Hurricanes have had, there will be calls for Rod's head. Personally, I'd take Rod over Sullivan and I don't hate the Sullivan hiring.

Does he want guys who can score? Absolutely.
Does he want guys who can do both? Absolutely.

If any of the Knicks/Mets/Yankees or somehow the Rangers go back to their Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde every other year streak and have a great year next year, it'll settle everyone down.
