Its the first time he's been an NHL regular at the age of 31. Shows the lack of center depth and young center depth in the organization. Its actually pathetic they rather rely on a minor leaguerYou could be 100% right but last season I felt like he was one of only a few guys that outperformed his own expectations.
Larkin has some grit, more than Mika and would be an upgrade at center. I’d like Larkin but doubt the Wings trade him.Rather have Larkin than Bennett. And Im a "grit and toffness" guy.

He's actually been a model of consistency over the last two years. Otherwise, I do think he once again will likely start as 13th forward, come in once an opportunity presents itself and then more or less consistently stays in the line-up the rest of the way.I've often criticized him but he did well down the stretch...
I just don't think going into the season relying on him in an important spot would be good. I could easily see him having a good stretch and then disappearing for 30 games
That's a good point and I try not to get into the this player vs that player too much cause no 2 players are alike. But production wise Bennett had a "great" year and is gonna get 7+ while trocheck supposedly had a "bad" year and outscored him at 5v5. Better plus/minus (not a good stat but interesting). Was nearly equal in possession and chances but better in relative advanced stats. And was on a worse team with a lot more baggage flying around. The question is how the f do you even compare them.
Both are NHL centres I guess...
Don't think we have to worry about that since he was basically one of the few players who came ready last year on the Canucks...which was one of the major reasons for all the in team fighting.Glad to see JT dropping sweet hot bogeys after he and the Rangers were embarrassed this season. Work on your game kid
It is quite possible he can work on his game for months after a few days of golf. At this point in his career I don't think his skills will improve so I just want him to come in to camp in great shape!Glad to see JT dropping sweet hot bogeys after he and the Rangers were embarrassed this season. A few days? You think he just strolled out of bed and tried to qualify for the US Open? He's probably spent months working on his game.I'm sure 2-4 days of golf trying to fulfill a dream will absolutely flush the upcoming season down the drain. The nerve of this guy to take a few days off in the off season. No wonder this is a country club team with guys not dedicating themselves to hockey 365/24/7. What are we paying them for?
I watched that movie two dozen times. Frank reminded me of myself lolThis is the equivalent of the early rounds of the Kumite. Cuylle round house kicks the fighter from France, bows to him in respect, bows to the ref, then takes a seat to wait for his next opponent with one eye trained on Chong Li.
This guy was brought in because of his intense, fiery attitude. He was supposed to change the culture. He had issues with the young guys in Vancouver not training and preparing for the season seriously enough. Spending his offseason playing golf is not a good sign.I'm sure 2-4 days of golf trying to fulfill a dream will absolutely flush the upcoming season down the drain.
