Willpower and tenacity is a trait that can be trained/increased. It is also a trait that can be depleted.

I feel it’s fairly obvious that it’s been depleted in some of our players.

A lot of guys correctly assumed last season was their last best shot. Kreider, Mika, Trouba, Laviolette. None came into this season with the hunger. How one could argue they did is delusional. When the leaders are defeated it trickles down. We need new leaders. The process has started

Rangers D needs a fairly big overhaul. It won't be this season. There will be a stopgap signing or two.

Dorrington who has size may make his debut at some point this season, but he's going to need a lot of time and development if he's even going to make it.

Fortescue maybe as soon as fall 2026. Emery is probably a four or five year college player if he's not traded.

They're going to have at least 8 picks in this draft if not more from keeping the first rounder or trading Kreider and/or Miller. Time to start restocking the D pipeline with guys who can skate.

I hope they don't trade Emery. Many folks underrate him because he's not throwing up massive numbers as a true freshman. His game is solid, he has very good positioning and takes the body well. Offense will come.

I would've actually preferred him to Mancini in the JT Miller deal and I'm still sour on the choice they made.

It's done though and Emery just has to keep developing. I don't think he gets moved. He's so far down the road from becoming a pro you never know if Sullivan gets these malcontents to play well again, and they're a piece away, his name could come up.

Ziba isn't going anywhere. The best chance to move him is if there's somehow a compliance cap buyout in the next CBA.

Machine is underrating Trocheck a bit, but he's right that Miller-Tro doesn't set us apart from e pack as a 1-2 combo which is why we need a sterling third line.

A lt of you have good plans to sign a big UFA or make a big trade for a LD and that's good and needed. But we really need both.

1) 3 lines of great depth
2) A new top 2 left D

In order for me to even start to think of considering us a comptitive roster next year. I've yet to see proposals that can do both these things in one offseason, which is not a cause for optimism.

What I wouldn't give for a random Kevin Hayes freebie to descend from heaven and give us an instant rookie ELC contributor in the top 9. Still praying that in the right situation Othmann could give us 20-20 from a solid scoring third line next year. I think that will require a good center, and perhaps one more quality wing on the 3rd as well.

Add Sam Bennet and keep Mika on wing. Then a top LD needs to be acquired. The way I look at overpaying Bennet is there are no others costs...draft picks or players just 7 million a year! Bennet is replacing Kreider money. Then with rest of assets get a LD. Saber's are loaded that is where you shop.

Zib was PPG with JT since the TDL. No issue running them with Panarin on line 1, or maybe they get Laff going again at the level he can play.

3rd line needs a makeover/chemistry, but it’s all about the D. I mean really all about the D. No clue what the plan is - do they really think Sullivan is going to elevate everyone? Everyone except Borden and Schneider were complete disasters.

I will need to see Gabe in camp. The Gabe I saw so far really should spend some time in the AHL. Hopefully he has a good summer and can change my mind on that.

Parssinen had a goal yesterday for Finland. Sykora had an assist today. Garand didn't play (he played yesterday) for Canada. Cuylle didn't have any points.

Zib has 3 goals in 2 games so far.

I think many teams are happy with being competitive and having at least 2-5 playoff home games.

The answer to 8 out of 10 questions is money. MSG gross sales are near 10 million per playoff game. Big bucks. I think the Knicks success bought Drury more time. Drury came through for Jimmy 3 out of 4 years for playoff cash.
