why have puck moving defensemen when you can have a team of Carson Soucy’s?Well gee, there's something to address!

My thing with Miller is that, while he is annoying, he's a decent producer at even strength and he's our only guy back there (including Fox!) who can move the puck by skating it.Ive been screaming into the void about the defense for a long time now. If there's a guy to move it's Kandre. He might have more value than Fox to some teams. Id rather play Jones than KAM because they both play like guys who are 5'10 and only one of them can play with the puck on his stick.
Brooks notes Laf won't be playing for Canada at World Championship. Unsure if he was overlooked or declined an invite. Calls it a red flag if the latter. Agreed.
The Rangers will trade Miller and he’ll turn into a bonafide top 4 guy in two seasons or less.My thing with Miller is that, while he is annoying, he's a decent producer at even strength and he's our only guy back there (including Fox!) who can move the puck by skating it.
We should be looking at Miller AND a guy like Jones. The correct number of defensemen capable of moving the puck is six.
It'll be some grinder. The Rangers will trade Miller and he’ll turn into a bonafide top 4 guy in two seasons or less.
And I’m not exactly confident our pro scouting will identify a player in return that will ease that sting.
That trades got loss written all over it.
Kandre has sat out for “mental health” hes a puppy. He’ll never be a dog. Cares more about fashion and feelings than winning and competing.
K'Andre needs to go through a Mikkola transformation arc. Just being around Tkachuk, Reinhart, and Bennett has turned him into a nasty SOB. Key is like a greyhound right now and he needs to be more of a german shepherd.
respectfully, noMoving Fox out does not make any sense to me unless you're replacing him with a D who can put up some offense and run a power play. I take the point he had an off year. Leetch had some off years too. He's not fast and I can see some concern about his knee. That said there is no other D in the entire organization who has remotely proven capable of putting any significant offense up and without offensive production from the defense a team is going to struggle to get anywhere.
So to move Fox there would have to be another move to replace his offense or just take the next 2/3 seasons off to watch something else because we're going to continue to stink. I'd rather find a better partner for him. Was all over this last year.....that Lindgren yeah he plays with grit but having two smallish physically challenged defensemen paired together was no longer workable. Fox needs a larger safety valve presence with some size and preferably some mean to give him a little extra space to work with. Soucy ain't quite it and I'm not crazy about him pairing with K'Andre either. Leetch had Beukeboom for years. I don't know if there's a great candidate available anywhere but I'd like to find someone like that for Fox. If Xhekaj were a better player for instance I might target someone like that.
well FINALLY you have something to say besides ha ha.It cracks me up that you poo poo on trading for a guy like Byram due to injury concerns but want to go all in on a trade for a guy with 2 bad knees. Typical bern.
You still never responded to my challenge regarding Fox making the Olympic team. All of these Fox people point to his fancy hockey stats. Look at this number. Look at that number. It's all it is. There is nothing else. The eye test says something different. Fox had one throwback Fox game this season. Anaheim. Fox finally came to play tonight. Then he went back to being the Fox post Aho knee incident. Fox's skating has declined a bit, He was never Paul Coffey but he just seemed to be a little faster a few years ago. We can talk about the Rangers not being a fast skating team. Last time I checked Fox was on the team. He is a not a physical player. Not a big player. Struggles against bigger forwards. Fox was nowhere to be found in the playoffs last season. The Rangers lost in the ECF to Florida. They were up 2-1 by some miracle. A few vintage Fox performances from 2021 would have made the difference. His offensive production dropped this season. He was sitting on three goals for a while. He had to rally to hit 10 goals and some people were proud of that. Whatever. The Rangers PP was awful and he is Mr. PP specialist. The response to all of this look at Adam's numbers. You can look at them but they don't tell the entire picture. He should be a team leader. Grab Mika by his ponytail and tell him to stop moaning about Barclay Goodrow.

We're gonna bring K'Andre back when he's in his early 30's and hear about how he's an alpha dog?It will be JT Miller 2.0, I just about guarantee it. Criticisms from the fanbase are extremely similar.
Why would we do that? Half the teams in the league have a goal against 3.0 or higher during the playoffs. Yet somehow a huge gap in goalie pay...Have we ever tried having the plan be something besides leaning on goaltending?
Borgen can too. It's more a matter of the system than guys not being able to make a pass. The bigger issue is, and this is on the coaches, the forwards fly the zone way, way, way too early and it reduces the number of outlets the D have.My thing with Miller is that, while he is annoying, he's a decent producer at even strength and he's our only guy back there (including Fox!) who can move the puck by skating it.

Three coaches ended up doing this because they realized we can't score without cheating. The solution to this is adding legit skill that can produce at 5v5.Borgen can too. If he declined, it depends on the reason. Honestly, if he declined so as to have more time to work on his game, his skating and his strength and conditioning, I'd applaud skipping the WCs.Brooks notes Laf won't be playing for Canada at World Championship. I don't think this team is bereft of skill, not completely, but they refuse to attack as a five man unit. I really feel like a lot of the defensive problems are simply from guys not knowing where their teammates are on the ice. It's comical.Three coaches ended up doing this because they realized we can't score without cheating. The solution to this is adding legit skill that can produce at 5v5.
This place has turned into a late night show segment. The one where they ask people on the street about politics. So did "mega alpha" JT Miller.
I like the ones where the only question is "how many states are in the United States?" and it's like Jimmy asked them to do quantum physics. This place has turned into a Jimmy Kimmel segment. The one where they ask people on the street about politics.
They just keep dunking on themselves.
How about the ones where they ask the Dads what their kids' birthday is, with the kid standing right next to them and the Dads have no clue? Or asking the Dads what the name of their kids' teacher is and what grade they're in. You'd think they asked these guys to discuss string theory. Not sure how these people function in society but they're walking among us.I like the ones where the only question is "how many states are in the United States?" and it's like Jimmy asked them to do quantum physics.
So I have noticed, not directed at anyone here. How about the ones where they ask the Dads what their kids' birthday is, with the kid standing right next to them and the Dads have no clue? I feel like if a big trade is going to be made this summer, it's going to be K'Andre or Schneider.I can be swayed on keeping KAndre. He is just an infuriating player. Can Sullivan get him to attack on offense and defense? Thats really the question with any new coach coming in.
Im a fan of Borgen. He is a better version of Trouba who doesnt take himself out of position as much trying to deliver big hits. Also half the price. I think that was a win for Drury and the scouting department because he is also quite a good skater and defensively responsible. Good first pass. If you're still pining over 44 point Kakko, touch grass.
That brings us to Schneider. I dont really understand what his role is if hes not going to get switched to the left side. If he has value around the league the same logic Ive used to push KAM for a young C, can be used with Schneider. I like him as a player but he's stagnated under these coaches. Could that be because he's apparently been injured for 2 seasons? Probably.
They need to change the mix on D. Ottawa needs a RHD. Idk if Schneider is enough of a centerpiece for Brady T(Schneider+Laf+?) but Schneider for Pinto is an interesting framework. There are other young C's around the league I think you could get for Schneider. its shit or get off the pot time with the rangers young defenseman.
