Speculation: Roster Building Thread: Part XX (WTF are we going to do this Off-Season edition)

Nikishin stuff is interesting. I imagine it gets settled and he plays, but this is the type of stuff you gotta see if it shakes free. Whatever first we don't give to Pitt. Add Schneider too and I'd still be down. He has a spot baked in right next to fox. Him and Fox and Miller-Borgen. Sign me up.

I've been watching the Lightning with their board in the playoffs and it's the same platitudes we use. Nobody works hard except the team that wins the Cup.

I don't like the way we play any more than anybody else but we need to address real issues with the way the roster is made up.

If we make it all about attitude we're just gonna end up with another bad team that, at best, offers performative solutions only, and people will ultimately get tired of them too and offer the same critiques.
Nah. Hard work is what separates players at this level. Anyway I have to go put my tooth under my pillow for the tooth fairy tonight

I'm waiting for the same people who make "DJ Mika" jokes to non-stop question JTM's commitment to hockey now that we know he's trying to qualify for the US Open in golf.
Dont hold your breath.
They'll post videos of Avery dunking on Zibanejad and just ignore that Avery was out of the league at 31 because he wanted to model and play fake celebrity in the Hamptons.
I remember a younger Siddi being impressed by the hockey knowledge carried by the members of this board.

Those days are long gone.

Care to elaborate?
Oh it’s just been obvious the past few years but this one in particular that they never use their third linemate very well, they have their plays between the two of them they try to force and it doesn’t work very well anymore. I bitched about it all the time earlier this year and how they needed to be broken up.

And by justified I mean the story above about gallant calling the team a bunch that won’t work together

Zibanejad and Kreider would only work with each other. Panarin and Strome for awhile. A bit less so with strome gone but Panarin has always been particular about who he plays with and how he plays

DJ Mika was a term of endearment when he was playing well. People take shit too seriously and emotionally nowadays.

They have to do both.

350 seems like a high estimation for a guy who has yet to hit 20 goals or 45 points in 6 years.
The point of saying it that way was that 100 cents on the dollar would be waaay low.

I'd rather have a borderline 2RW with upside than a borderline 2RD at his peak. I like that 2RD, but it was no "coup." It was poor trade value. That was my point.
