Weird that they extended him if that's the case, but he always had that introspective, sensitive aspect to him. that probably endeared him to the organization when the team had no expectations during the rebuild. it becomes more of a problem when the team became a contender and all of our leaders were soft silent types (sans trouba who is the meatiest of meatheads). a lack of accountability among the core group has been an issue throughout these last few years. they've always left meat on the bone in the playoffs.
Well, you can deal with certain things if the player produces. He was having a good season the year he was extended. And it was a good choice because he broke out with 52, 36 & 39 the following 3 years.

But dont forget there was some uncertainty at the time if they would trade him. The deal was made close to the deadline.

It was on deadline day. I woke up expecting him to be dealt to Colorado. Buch also crashed his car (with a rookie Igor in it) on ocean parkway that day. people forget that

I think you would be surprised what happens within NHL teams. Coach player dynamics today are much different than even 10 years ago. The pendulum shifted too far in One direction with nyr, why do you think there was such a war over the last 6 months within the organization? It's still not finished either fyi
Thank you for your reply, and I guess I see your point. I just see Drury as the bad guy here, not the players, yet everyone sees the players at fault. If Drury is as pathetic of a human being as he appears to be (my opinion) I can’t say I blame the players for being upset. This isn’t the 60s.

Rangers need to retire the #13 for eternity, the minute after Laf gets traded for 2nd and a 4th at next season trade deadline.

I'm irrationally on the doosh train about this guy ghosting us since he signed for fat stacks, so I'll say no more.

Till tomm.

...what?

Then he traded for Lindgren lol.

The mainstream NHL media likes to ballwash the "analytics" GMs like Tulsky and Dubas, even though they have poor track records. I am wise to their narratives.
I watched Lindy’s first game with Colorado. He actually looked like an NHL Dman.
