Because he is a competitive professional athlete?Quick has won multiple cups. Why exactly is he chasing another one?

Both of those guys are doing great from where I'm sitting. I hope they keep it up forever as a fan of teams who are divisional rivals with both of them. And at least Jerry Jones has "we're the Dallas f***ing Cowboys" to fall back on. Dundon runs his Moneyball team with a Cowboys ego.

I agree in principal but the way this TDL is shaping up (sellers market) potentially Drury might be able to do a hockey trade to his LD.I'd almost Drury not acquire his LD right now.
Not that it isn't a need (it's still this team's biggest one) but I don't like the options that have been publicly available. Ferraro or Soucy is just rebranding Lindgren.
I'd want no part of Power+this coaching staff. If they fire Lavi and some how get David Carle to agree to come here I'd be all over it though.
Sorry I edited my post while you were replying as I wanted it to be separate from the Jerry Jones discussion.Chris Cryder was sadly accurate![]()
Seems like we know who our mutinous ring leader is. It sucks because I'm a big fan of his, but it seems like this has run its course. Both sides need a clean break & it's certain to happen either now or over the summer.
He's one of the holdovers from the roster during the days of strome and Turk. I don't think the majority of the people realize what was going on during that time. You had moments that the coach openly criticized players, their commitment, the way they played, their lack of willingness to listen to the coaching staff and players that actually spoke out against what the coaches said in public. Strome and kreider or two of those guys. It's not rocket science to figure out what happened here. For all the crap that trouba that took, he wasn't accountability guy that wanted more from his teammates much the same way Miller does, but Miller's play is at a much higher level where he can demand that from his teammates while still playing at a super high level. What becomes cancerous with a team like this is the idea that we're good enough to win with the effort that we're putting in instead of the idea that we need to work harder to win those games in just a little bit more training or a little bit more commitment or a little bit smarter hockey will make that difference to push team over the edge. The group that's getting purged right now is the former instead of the latter. Is it coincidence that once Mika got away from ck his game has changed A bit? He still has his flaws but his game over his all has definitely shiftedSeems like we know who our mutinous ring leader is. I agree, he's earned it.I would really like to see him get one more power play goal. He deserves that at least.

I don't see LA down w/a perimeter guy, even a high end onePanarin +/- to la
Mikko +/- to nyr
Fiala +/- to canes
I actually think Panarin would have a bigger impact on the kings than mikko would based on the lack of passing and creativity in the King's offense, that's exactly what Panarin brings. Panarin dominates the puck to make plays and mikko isn't that type of player. Kings are a heavy team and kind absorb Panarin's deficiencies better than say nyr can
Really too bad that a borderline team legend is rumored to have been one of the principle laggarts/miscontents.
A messy divorce may cost Kreider a banner. Maybe he wins the cup and gets the last laugh, who knows.
Mikko is a high-end version of the type of players that they always have, fiala was supposed to break that mold a little bit with some elite skill. Sometimes teams need a different element plugged into them to help the roster overall become more effective. I think it's a perfect place four bread, he can go there and do his thing, help run the power play, and not necessarily need to be the guy that everybody's looking at all the time. It's the same exact thing as GabbyI don't see LA down w/a perimeter guy, even a high end one
It was obvious Strome was a problem when he would bitch front & center to the media telling them that Quinn needed to trust them more when they were playing pond hockey. Quinn wasn't a great coach, but even he could see that style of hockey is never going to carry a team very far in the long run. I didn't realize at the time that Kreider was on the same page as Strome in that context. He's one of the holdovers from the roster during the days of strome and Turk. In regards to Kreider, I have it on good authority (see the postscript for that) that the franchise would have loved it for him to be a captain type but he is an oddball, possibly too intelligent/introspective for it. Read into that as you will, but In two separate conversations the words "head case" were uttered when talking about Chris.
By "good authority" I'm talking directly out of the mouth of several former Rangers, a few of which were working with the team or still do in some capacity who were surprisingly candid with a complete stranger of a Ranger fan asking a question about what they thought of such player. This was years ago, but take it for what its worth.
I dont think the view of him around the club was never very peachy.
Always a good sign when you're onlineBecause he is a competitive professional athlete?
