Right, yeah, of course

Best player since the break!

maybe on Draft reputation and being a first rounder but not what I've seen over 2 years now up here and Hartford. Besides Size Berard is a better player. Creates more on his own. Always going to all areas of the ice.
you are not crazy way wrong, but imo it is perspective
unless visual basis to confirm an exception otherwise, the rule in all sports is usually the good big man beats the good little man

I give Berard edge on speed skating and scoring, which is signif
I give Oth edge on power, size, reach, checking

but also, this is optimal Berard
He's not gonna grow taller, get bigger
he MAY turn into exception to the rule Marty St. Louis level skater w/freakish core, unable to easily take off the puck, but that remains to be seen

Oth not growing either but I could see his satisfactory -> good skating improving further
I see Oth scoring as soon as he gets mins and chem w/same linemates

some things are more objective
this here is subjective
just imo

So funny you brought that up. There's an emotional intelligence and intensity element to it. Like why aren't Tim Henson from Polyphia or Corey Wong the most known guitar players in the world? Why did Dean DeLeo or Noodles sell more records than Yngwie Malmsteen or Joe Satriani?

Same reason why Alexei Kovalev was probably the most talented skill guy to ever play for the Rangers, but in games, never fully dominant.

One kind of unknown guitarist would be Vini Reilly. A big tall geeky looking guy but as an older teenager Manchester City was trying to sign him to their football team. There are a lot of great guitar players though and it's kind of the same with bands---I have a bunch of favorites but I've never really looked at any particular one as the 'favorite'.....maybe a favorite for the moment or a week but it's always subject to change.

I'm quite suspicious of anything that gets too popular. Most of that you can hear anytime without looking for it and for free anyway. You don't have to hunt for it. It's always there. Finding things that are more obscure can be a challenge but can also be very rewarding.

Kovalev was good for us but great for the Penguins and the Canadiens. Then when he came back to us he was just good again. Loved the guy though.

Clapton was a great guitar player from like 1966-1974. He's been a universally terrible human since and the last eight years have ruined his legacy.
I'm curious what Clapton has done over the past 8 years that have "ruined his legacy"?

I worked in the music biz for the best part of a decade about 20 years ago & while Clapton was always thought of as overrated, I'm unclear what has he done recently that wasn't well known previously?

I’m disappointed kaliyev isn’t getting more of a look. Big fearless good shot seems to have a good motor. What do the rangers see that I’m missing?

Frankly, he just isn't any good to me

He was compared to Puempel a few pages ago, and that feels very accurate

Id like to see him as well but we have other priorities till the tdl. Plus we are only 2 points out with 22 games to go. Lets see how things go after next week. We have already added around 7 new faces to the lineup in a short time.

32T. Nearly three hours.

A couple of Stanley Cup contenders are interested in Reilly Smith. Not Canadian teams.

We will see about Chris Kreider.

Artemi Panarin will become a bigger storyline. What's his future in NY? Contract expiring. EF was talking to someone about Panarin's contract on Sunday morning. Last season. Time does fly.

We are moving pieces now but we will not be quiet in the summer. They are not saying we had a bad year and we will see what happens next season with the same group.

Has Chris Drury talked to teams about Panarin? EF mentioned speaking to someone about Panarin which does lead you to believe the Rangers have talked to other clubs or other clubs are aware of Panarin's situation.

Smith has an 8 team no trade list.

I’d be absolutely shocked if Drury moved Panarin before the deadline. That’s a very complicated move. Do the Rangers want to pay Panarin 5.85M next year to play for another team?

Summer, not shocked at all.

Berard really should’ve been with the team for awhile now. Being small and trying the way he does he’s going to be a fan favorite for years.

I like Othmann so far too.

This deadline and the summer are going to be really interesting. I see Drurys vision, I agree with Drurys vision, I just question his ability to make it a reality.

If we’re redrafting and I’ve #2 in 2019 and #1 in 2020, we’ve got Seider and Stutzle and we’re trying to get Draisaitl to come form team Germany in NYC.
Geesh....imagine if we drafted Mike Bossy ? We even heavily scouted the Q league.....and we still missed despite two cracks at getting him...... and 12 other clubs messed up as well.....that is how the draft goes . Hindsight is a wonderful thing .
