Those games get a bum rap. It's not as easy to trade in those as it used to be.This isnt NHL 25
Since Igor’s contract doesn’t kick in until next year, don’t we have a ton of cap space available at this dealing? Drury should be offering to be a third party retaining on any expiring contracts move at the TDL if he doesn’t use his retention spots on his own guys.
that was my understanding. We have heaps of room right now - like around $14m or something, but 'only' around $18m in space to sign everyone for next yearSince Igor’s contract doesn’t kick in until next year, don’t we have a ton of cap space available at this dealing? Just since Im a stat skeptic I will ask how does Adams playoff plus minus compare to Lindys?
I don't either. That is my point about stats.Lindy is a +11, Fox is a +7. I don’t infer much from that though.

Is that regular +/- or even strength? NaturalStattrick has Fox at +11 and Lindgren at +6 at 5v5 across the 3 playoffs. Last year Fox was a +3 and Lindgren -1 and the numbers when Fox played with Gustafsson/Miller were absurd. NYR basically were on a power play when Fox got away from himI don't either. That is my point about stats.![]()
all sports game are like this now you cant trade like 3 1sts in madden for a guy who ends up going for a 2ndThose games get a bum rap. It's not as easy to trade in those as it used to be.
"Laviolette’s ice time apportionment in the third period in Pittsburgh, during which the Blueshirts fell behind 3-2 at 3:31, was instructive.
The coach gave Vesey — who scored the tying goal at 4:21 — 8:32 of work in the third period. That represented more ice time than the winger had gotten in six of his 31 games.
Indeed, Vesey’s overall total of 18:10 was the second-most he has played for Laviolette over two years, getting 0:02 less than the 18:12 he skated on Jan. 11, 2024 at St. Louis.
Vesey, a pending unrestricted free agent, should be a valuable rental property on the March 7 trade market.
Meanwhile, Panarin received only 3:43 in the third period and 15:56 overall in Pittsburgh, the fourth lowest of the season while Lafrenière got 3:32/14:29 for his sixth-lowest game total.
Jonny Brodzinski, with 4:29, got more ice time in the third on Sunday than either No. 10 or 13.
Lafrenière, who has four points in the last 10 games (1-3), was on for one Rangers goal over the weekend but for five against."
The New York Rangers are on the cusp of a playoff spot, sitting just two points away with 25 games remaining in the season. Despite recent defensive struggles, including a significant loss to the Buffalo Sabres and a narrow win against the Pittsburgh Penguins, the team remains in close competition with the Senators, Blue Jackets, and Bruins for a wild-card position. Head coach Peter Laviolette has experimented with numerous line combinations—50 through 57 games, more than last season—to find the optimal setup. Key players like Jimmy Vesey have performed notably well, while others, such as Artemi Panarin and Alexis Lafrenière, have faced defensive challenges in recent games. Looking ahead, the Rangers might play a role in facilitating trades, potentially involving players like Seth Jones from the Blackhawks in exchange for future assets
Yes Rempe IS an NHLer and obv team benefits from energy he providesSo do most actually think Rempe is an nhler ?
I’d prefer Rempe down
Trade Vesey and Brodzinski
No reason not to go with Othmaan , Berard and add another new face
Interesting. I didn't realize this during the 3rd Period on Sunday.
Rempe doesnt play enough. For a team that doesnt draw penalties, he is the best on the team at drawing them. he's no more defensively irresponsible than our top 6.So do most actually think Rempe is an nhler ?

Seth Jones has 5 years left, but either way, why would the Rangers do that? Are we rebuilding? Brooks has lost his mind.Did Brooks really mention Seth Jones in his column today?
The Rangers could become third party brokers at the deadline. Jones is signed for four more seasons. $9.5M. There has been speculation about Jones being traded and some teams need retention. How much would retaining 25% for 4 more seasons cost? Jones has a full NMC and he wants to play a few select teams. EF said some of the bad teams would take Jones at the full number but he doesn’t want to play on a bad team or maybe in a bad market.
I am paying Rupert Murdoch a penny for his product.
Someone told me ChatGPT can give you a recap of a paywall article.
The Rangers need to retain to move some of their rentals.
