Why did Kreider play over Kyle Connor if he's nursing a serious injury?
I do not think CK should be playing at all. He seems to be in real discomfort when he tries pushing off. I wish he had skipped the tournament and just got treatment. I actually think he should have taken 2-4 weeks off and tried to get himself right with the trainers.

Here's another take I have after watching the Four Nations. It was another Diamond Hands Drury moment when he couldnt complete the Guentzel deal. He's a phenomenal player and exactly what we could use. If he is with us in the Florida series and finishes on 2-3 chances we couldnt cash in on, we easily win that series with how out of his mind Igor was playing. probably beat Canes in 4 or 5 as well.
Jake definitely would have helped. Probably go 7 games. Would we have won in 7? I'm not sure but I do wish we had Jake. For what its worth Carolina rented him and lost to us.

I agree. It did not show a great amount of commitment to the Rangers for him to have gone to the tournament when he's hurt. I said that before the it started and Im holding to it. You can't use injury as an excuse when you repeatedly play through when you dont have to. Quinn Hughes is a far more important player to Team USA and he didnt go so he could get healthy for Vancouver's stretch run.

We were a better team than Carolina. Probably still are tbh. I'd take us in a playoff series over them even now. And Guentz was their best player in that series.

I can't tell you how to live, but you should assume better faith in others than that.

Ok... This is not about you, it was more about Nicky's post. The "lies, damn lies, and statistics" argument is not only an unbearable cliche it's not an actual argument against anything that was said. You kind of took his side of what in my opinion is a non-argument and hence my response to you.

The troglodytes on this forum dont believe in analytics. Their eyes see and then their bias interprets what they have seen.
I would not hire a blind scout or coach. :D

I wanted Jake. I do not know if Jake puts us past Florida but I would have liked to take that chance. I think after spending a lot on previous years rentals Drury may have felt like he had to be more cautious.

Rangers 5v5 with Adam Fox on the ice: +12 goal differential
Rangers 5v5 without Adam Fox on the ice: -15 goal differential

Please trade Adam Fox so I don’t have to read all the Pejorative Slured posts anymore and the Rangers can sit in mediocrity for the foreseeable future.

Here’s data from a guy who literally has to watch every game to compile these numbers. He’s basically the same exact player.

Most with Ryan Lindgren as his partner.

At 5v5, Fox has the highest Assist and Primary Assist rates of his career. Points/60 is 3rd, but .01 behind 2022-23's for 2nd. His shot attempt rate (iCF/60) is the highest rate in his career and unblocked shot attempt rate (iFF/60) is second only to his rookie season. He's producing rebounds at the highest rate of his career by a substantial margin. In terms of High Danger and Scoring Chances for, NaturalStatTrick's got this as his 2nd and best seasons respectively. He's just rocking the lowest shooting percentage of his career.

The other thing that's making him look worse is a career-low 2nd assist rate on the PP. His primary assist rate is the second best of his career too.

This kind of stuff here frustrates me. I get some people want to trade Fox for the reasons they have. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I don't think anyone is advocating that the Rangers should keep Lindgren over Fox. So why is Lindgren even being brought into this? I think we all know that he will be traded. No reason to shit on him in order to make any point about Fox. Lindgren gave everything in him for this team. He should be commended for that.

The good thing is that we now know Fox isn't in the upper echelon of current players and has a very limited physical skill set (for a professional).
I can only assume all expectations will be adjusted accordingly...

Trocheck suffered a broken finger. How effective will he be playing with a broken finger? He didn't look very effective after he suffered the injury on Monday night.
damn how do you play hockey a day or two after you break a finger?

And Tkachuk is a -2 while Fox carrying around the corpse of Lindgren is a +6. Also, this year Ottawa is a slightly better team and Tkachuk is still a negative player.
Did you rely on plus minus this much when staal and girardi where here? Feels like just a few weeks ago even people were mocking others for how irrelevant plus minus is these days.

I can't f***ing believe we have to watch another game with Smith, Vesey, Kreider and Lindgren in the lineup. Come on Drury you f***ing coward. Make these trades already.

Because they play together and Lindgren is very bad.

If they didn’t play together we’d probably be talking about how bad Lindgren is independently.
