Speculation: Roster Building Thread : Part XVI (Playoffs or Retool?)

I was rooting for Kakko but enough with this kid. He was put in the top 6 to start every season and flopped. He just sounds like another entitled millennium brat at this point.
I think there is alot of relevance into what he said and to what we witness with Laf right now.

The kids need to breathe and just play. Not be second fiddle and constantly worry.

Drury needs to do the smart thing and start unloading all the vets.

Winning WC2 and losing to washington in rd1 does nothing for this franchise. Let the damn kids lead and play.

And he deserves whatever leeway he's getting from a very small group of posters. Obviously he's not 100%. You don't go from last year to this year without some kind of an injury, especially for a guy who works as hard as he does in the offseason. Yeah, it's fun to say he pouted, took his puck and went home, is sad about his buddies, and all the other deep insightful stuff floating around. But the math doesn't add up. He's been shit and he's still like 3rd on the team in goals. The assists are puzzling, but he's never been a big assist guy.

Exactly.

Any of the off the ice stuff that's been speculated on this board is absurd and completely unfounded. It's a shame fans speak this way of a homegrown player. But hey, I'm sure they have their sauces.

They're actually doing the opposite with Laf now, in that he's hogtied to Panarin. Overexposure type of development. The entire universe can see Laf is modeling himself after Panarin and in the process becoming a useless finesse player.

Well if we learned anything today it's that Cam Newton would rather keep his league MVP award than trade it for a Super Bowl win.

The thing is he was never that good outside of a couple of seasons. I can see if it was a guy like Rodgers not wanting to trade in his MVPs for another Super Bowl. Because I can see why someone would think that being the best player in the league is most important. Cam Newton really overrates one fluke season for himself.

Agree about him with oanarin.

But he still isnt getting Pp time. Although it probably doesnt matter much bc everything runs through panarin who has no clue how to play in a system.

No, he meant the Rangers being the black hole.
Oh read that wrong. My bad
