Just saw on social media JT just added some Cane players and real estate people in the area. If true its probably a done deal to Carolina.

Also its on the internet so it must be true for all you doubters haha. No clue if its true but figured I would share.

are we feeling like the Rangers are gonna be buyers? Maybe even the 1st for a rental?

if true, a slightly scary add for them.

For whenever the Leafs inevitably trade for Luke Kunin for bottom-6 help, there’s the perfect chance for Drury to retain salary. Try to nab a 3rd next year from the Leafs by throwing a 5th or 6th back to them. Drury won’t be able to utilize all of the cap space we have.

And Drury once again sleeping at the wheel. Why is he such a f***ing p***y?
SB, nothing even happened yet

Why are you mad at him? Vancouver is the one pushing to get this trade done, but don’t want to take a lesser package back. They’re the ones that created this circus by leaking everything through the media. Being a player in Vancouver must be hell with how everything there is aired out in the open.

It'll be the second time in two years that the Canes caught Drury with his pants down.

I think this is a completely different situation than the Guentzel situation, and PIT wanted more from the Rangers than they took from Carolina. Not sure how you’re going to be mad about Drury not overpaying for a player, but I won’t argue you further on that.

The Canes can’t fit in Miller as easily as the Rangers can, but they have better additional pieces to add into a trade than we do. Farming a bunch of assets ends up paying off sometimes. I’ve already stated my reasons before as to why I don’t necessarily think this is the best nor right move for the Rangers, but it’s not up to me.

Does petterson need a change of scenery to get his game back? Is he the right fit here? His salary is massive and he would cost something a LOT more than the rumored JT miller package

This is the exact right time to move Chytil. He is hurt all the time, but he has real moments and stretches where he shines when healthy. He still can't play to contact, and when he does it is scary as hell. I can't rely on the guy for a season, let alone a playoff run. This is striking where the iron is hot with him.

Moving Lindgren for value and bringing in a replacement is also ideal, but that is stating the obvious. We know Jones is not the solution, or even that Drury will let him try to be any further. Mancini they want to develop more, he had a very tough cup of coffee in the start of the year. Let him get the AHL full year reps, the offseason, and then come back to camp next year.

Honestly, ideally, we find a way to make a Miller trade that doesn't involve the 1st, then move that 1st with the lottery protection (or something like Garand who Pittsburgh likes) for Marcus Pettersson and re-sign both him and Borgen in the offseason.

Pittsburgh was scouting the Wolfpack with the GM earlier this season. Drury was including Lindgren in proposals. Rangers don't have an internal replacement for Lindgren at this time. The math adds up.

Still very much feels like writing is on the wall that Zib is moved this offseason anyway.

Liked everything except for trading a 1st for Petterson and trading Garand.

I like Pettersson quite a bit and think he'd do well with Fox. I'd prefer to keep the 1st. I like Garand but let's be real, Shesty is here for the long haul and while Garand may be a good backup, this is pretty good value for him. Goalie prospects are not typically moved because either the team that has them needs them, or there is just a very selective market for a position that is hardly ever drafted/invested in early.

Yes it’s widely known that Dru tried to get this off the ground with Zibanejad months ago.

It’s been reported by everyone. Vancouver wanted nothing to do with it.
I mean credible sources. No name bloggers dreaming up Bern like fantasy trades does not count. Didnt Larry debunk the notion that Mika ever was apart of a trade to Vancouver?

Mika was never asked to waive.

Mika trade never materialized to be asked.

The real question is can we finally sign some of our guys f***ing long term instead of bullshit 2 year deals? Cuylle and Edstrom should be looked at to lock up for a long time. Miller too. Might be able to get a bargin now that he struggled in the first half.

Will we finally sign our trade acquisitions to reasonable contracts that make us better and more flexible?

Every other team does this. Will the Rangers realize it's 2025 and not 1995?

This needs to happen. Miller and Cuylle for sure. Borgen appears to be someone that fits really well too.
