I'm not sure he breaks his way onto that unit this year if he were to come here. It'd take them moving one of Kreider or Zibanejad and I don't think either are happening until the summer.

Of course it can still all go to hell over the next 6 weeks and that could change things but if they hang around or even jump into a spot, they aren't going to move them right now.

Personally i'd punt Mika to the moon off PP1 and put Miller in his spot immediately.

Miller plays on his offside in Mikas spot on Vans PP anyway. Would be the perfect swap.

Kreider's net front presence is so much more valuable, not to mention Miller takes wristers instead of flubbing one timers and likely hits the net more than Mika.

I am one of Trocheck's biggest fans but there is zero reason he needs to be on that unit. He's playing over a third of the game. Give him those 2-3 minutes off or have him take draws on the 2nd unit.

Regardless of any JT Miller move, or another move for a similar player, I do hope Drury has a plan to weaponize the ridiculous amount of cap space we're going to have at the deadline. We have all 3 retention spots open, so that's an easy chance to just eat money brokering deals for teams and bank a few mid-round picks. It probably won't amount to much, but free assets are free assets.

He doesn't skate well, he's too small, and he doesn't create/produce offense at an NHL level.

It's easy to make it to cooked when your ability was that fragile to begin with.

People compare him to Girardi, but Girardi was worlds better with the puck. It's comical how egregiously teams ignore Lindgren and play the other guys 5v4 when we have the puck. If you did that to Girardi, he would walk in and snipe it. He scored 10 goals one year.

TBH Klein is a better comparable for Lindgren than Girardi given the size and decline.

I'd say Lindgren would be good to keep for the locker room as a #7, but I also know that any coach in the league is just gonna play the guy the second one of our more mobile blueliners makes a mistake, which isn't what we need, so you just kind of have to trade him.

Yeah it kind of goes under the radar but Trocheck plays way too much.
