I guess thats odd but it's 2 3rd-4th line prospects and a AAAA player.

Hardly anything needle moving and I like Chmelar a bunch.

Edit: I'd look for scratches at the NHL level if you want indications that anything is close to going down. It doesn't always happen and guys play a full game and then get moved 3 seconds after the final buzzer but we have a full deck of players/extras so it's not hard to slide someone out/in.

I don't think Groulx would be dealt (who cares, pending Group 6 AAAA guy) but he does make sense as a call-up for either an injured roster C or a traded roster C.

Great hockey player, no question...but I seriously cannot think of a player the Rangers need less from a personality perspective than JT Miller. He's always had rumors around him of being a bad locker room guy and teammate. Literally exactly the opposite of what this team needs.

I actually think jt miller would be a good move for the Devils. They have the pieces to get it done without much drawback and it could be good for them this year and next. After that Miller's act will probably wear thin as it always does.

Maybe but it's going to be tough for them to do cap wise.

They don't really have salary to send back. Guys like Palat/Haula are multi year dumps and I don't think they'd have interest (Plus IIRC those guys have NMCs, I know Palat did/does.)

The way you fix the culture with your problematic vets in the top-6 is to add another problematic vet to the top-6. Don't forget to trade some young players in the process and add more money so you can't keep your remaining younger players who are contributing.
