I don't see anything wrong there?

Those are probably the guys I'd bring back for sure too and waiting on Kreider is the right move. GMs have pretty short memories and someone is going to take the gamble that they can fix him.

Kreider's value is in the toilet and the lowest it's ever been

Yes and? There will be a bigger market for him in the summer when he isnt complaining everyday about his back and teams can look at the full body of work instead of the 5 assist season he's coming off of.

I'm not so sure about that. If anything, I think his market will be even worse in the summer after the season he just had.

I get it if you're just kinda over Kreider. Like, that's valid.

At the same time, bringing him back as a value move makes sense.

If he shakes off his injuries and returns to a legit top six player, you get a ton for him.

If he doesn't...eh, he's not gonna cave any more than he already did.

Which is why you wait.

Some contender(s) are going to exit the playoffs early and are going to look for vet scoring that's got a track record of scoring in the playoffs. Enter Kreider.

If you're going to make the case that they should have traded him before the season started, then okay, but theres no way that you wanted that and you're not allowed to captain hindsight the situation here.

You cant bring back a guy who quit like he did. Both Brooks and Friedman, among others have pointed him out as a ringleader. Clean break. It's over.

Unless, he's perceived as a culture problem.

Too bad they won't consider dealing Shesterkin before his deal kicks in.

He has to be significantly better next season to justify the extension. His #s this year are those of a mid range starter (2000+ minutes played); 16th SV %, 15th HD SV%, 10th Goals Saved Above Expected / 60, not the Vezina caliber guy he is paid to be. Needs to be top 5 across the board to justify his contract.

Shesty, Fox, Miller, Tro seems like a fine line to draw for me. I assume he's referencing veterans and so guys like Cuylle are also safe, but otherwise burn it the f*** down.

Not happy with Igor's inconsistency but he's just never ever getting moved so it's kind of pointless to even discuss it.

The team defense also needs to be several exponents better. No goalie would have good numbers playing behind this structure and players.

Not even before the season. How about earlier in the season when he was clearly not playing as well as he did the previous years. Where there was a hint of an issue. Instead, you let the whole season pass and now his value is the lowest its ever been...and he almost assuredly won't be back next season given his and the team's dissatisfaction with each other.

I'm okay with that logic but if I'm the GM and coach I need to meet with him and a bunch of video showing CK not hustling. I need to hear from him an explanation before I give him another chance. I do believe he was injured this season but it also goes beyond that. I would need CK to convince me that he wants to be here and that things will be different. Even then I still think we need to get younger so I would not definitely keep him. I would only keep an open mind to keeping him if I liked his answers.

I hate being reminded that probably a majority of these guys are f***ing assholes who I wouldn't want to spend time around in real life.
As you get older, more and more shit comes out about the people you watched, loved, and maybe even tried to be.

I hope you never got into wrestling...

Drury was ready to trade Kreider in November, and it was made quite public. He swung a good deal for Trouba in a similar circumstance. Seems like no one was interested in Kreider at that level. His value would be higher if he played better. he had plenty of opportunities to do so. Im ready to move on from drury but he handled this Kreider situation about as well as could be expected.

He's unhappy with this team. We're unhappy with him. He's lazy and disappears far too often. We're headed for a divorce.

The parallels between this season and 2020 are wild.

We were just begging that season to end and just when we were about to be out of the woods, Shesty gets in a f***ing car accident. This is worse.

Please please please I don’t want to read anything else about this pathetic group of idiots. Make it end.
