If we get rid of Panarin, we’re totally gifting McKenna to Pittsburgh next year. This organization sucks from top to bottom. Fire Dolan!!

I'm absolutely sick to my stomach.

Makes you revisit those Latvia accusations from 4 years ago, don't it.

This organization isn't just incompetent, now it's put its employees in harms way.

I don't want to see Panarin ever again. Disgraceful.

I'm so f***ing appalled. I don't know what we can do to sink lower than this.

Was planning on dropping some cash to go see Sam Rosen's last game tonight? Now? f*** this team.

Couple other things:
1. I'm glad that what happened didn't escalate any further past what what we know of happening
2. It is at least theoretically possible, though highly unlikely, that the staffer didn't want this info to go public and the decision was mutual. I consider that highly unlikely though.
3. REALLY hope this was a case of Panarin being a drunken, piece of shit of an idiot, rather than a sober one. Bc if it's the latter, it means the team intentionally kept around someone they knew was a serious risk of this kind of thing and hid that fact.

This seems like a huge nothing honestly. The woman was fired for giving prescription meds to another player, then accused Panarin of “pinning her to a bed” 3 months later, and she got a payout and NDA (standard op in these situations). Team hired a law firm to investigate and shared that with the NHL, who considered the matter closed. Where’s the cover up and what exactly are they covering up?

So you think she just, what, made it up and got a payout anyway?

Boy howdy, I have a great new idea to become a millionaire!

Despite all the problems I have with MSG and the Rangers org right now, this doesn't sound like them putting employees in harms way any more than any other team in the league.

Also appalling as it is this is likely not far outside the bounds of normal NHL player behavior. If his teammates knew they probably didn't care that

the fact that, um, they kept an alleged sexual assault perpetrator on the team with no consequences?

do you think they pay money to anyone that says things? do you think they didn't do a thorough investigation and come to the conclusion there's a serious problem they need to get ahead of?

how naive are you?

drunk or not, they did do it intentionally. They intentionally brushed this under the rug last year so as to keep their star player in the lineup and not f*** up their president trophy season

Like the organization looks horrific here, idk how else to say it

Really makes you wonder about the allegations with Panarin hitting the woman in Latvia. Remember he blamed it on political intimidation? So weak. Pathetic.

Oh believe me, I fully agree with you. I guess what I was trying to say was there is an escalation between doing something drunk and doing it sober, and the latter is astronomically worse bc your judgement is impaired.

Don’t worry they’ll find something

Broads right?

Pro sports cover-up culture strikes again. Clearly this group can’t be trusted to have normal relationships with team employees considering they were attempting to assault them and accepting prescription drugs from them. Clean house.

Having a harsh zero tolerance deal with employees handing out pills is fine, it's not the same thing but this is the Derek Boogaard organization.

I'm surprised that this story seems to have completely blindsided the local team media. I do not believe they would have given Artemi Panarin the Good Guy Award lol

Unfortunately, I'm now resigned to believe that this team won't win anything until the fat oaf of an owner croaks.
