The actual incident was two years ago. He's still on the team. They tried to cover it up. I don't think this means they're getting rid of him.

Maybe, if the incident never came to light, but now that it did they should have no other option but to get rid of him. Just a bad look. Unfortunately we'll probably get peanuts for him now.

Panarin is a POS if this is all true, but why didn't the staffer report the incident before going to his room to retrieve her phone? He still looks an idiot, & she can still sue at that point, but she would've avoided dealing with having to be physically assaulted.

These people are probably comfortable around each other. I wouldn't be surprised if she had no idea he would have done what she accused him of. She probably has been in a situation with the group tens if not hundreds of times if she was with the team for years with no foul incident.

It only takes one time though to f* up.

I don't want to take any sides without being able to read the article. I do realize that wealthy famous people can be targets but a settlement does imply something not good.
 
I read my post on the Panarin situation and don’t really see what I did wrong. I am certainly not condoning sexual assault in any way. I was attempting to make 2 points.
1. Don’t put young women in harms way by having them subject to this type of thing on the road.
2. I thought it was overkill to stop all interaction between the team and employees at MSG. What other businesses do that.

If Panarin did that, it sickens me. I tried to delete, but I’m not sure if I was successful. Sorry.

The alleged assault occurred in December 2023 during a Rangers road trip, according to two Rangers sources briefed about the allegation. Panarin and the woman, who was a regular part of the team’s travelling party, were at a post-game gathering at a hotel with about a dozen other players and staff members. Panarin allegedly took her phone and said he would only give it back if she retrieved it from his hotel room, the sources said. When she went to his hotel room to retrieve her device, Panarin pinned her down on the bed. She pushed him off, retrieved her phone and left the room.

took her phone in the hotel bar, said come to my room to get it, she goes to the room, he holds her down on the bed, she rebuffs him, takes her phone and leaves. she told this story later on (not after the incident) as part of her defense for getting fired for giving another player anti-anxiety meds because they both have a fear of flying.

Sounded to me like you thought she was asking for it by being young and pretty. She's allowed to have a job that she's qualified for and be safe while performing it.

the context of this somehow makes it even worse
