Aside from Kreider (who I have a lot of sympathy for because of his injury and management telling him through the media that he wasn't wanted back in November), Trocheck was by far the biggest disappointment to me all season (on a team with LOTS of disappointments). Non-stop, selfish decision making in his own zone. Horrible execution. Couldn't complete basic passes. Turnover machine. The extra couple of mil in caphit is a non issue with the cap going up.
Trocheck was stapled to a 90 point winger all season and had significantly more ice-time and still cant outproduce Mika in his worst season being moved up and down the line-up all season long and having to carry Kreiders dead corpse for most of the time.
Yes, they both sucked but I rather take my chances with Mika going forward.
The idea that some people want to tear it all down but still keep Trocheck is baffling to me. He's a huge part of the problem.
