Maybe we can trade Panarin to the Penguins for our former 2026 1st. We get our pick back and make ourselves worse for the McKenna tank job.
I'm most angry about the fact that Jones and DeHaan were great assets that have been wasted because of the coaches obsession with playing Vaak and Schneider for 20+ mins a game
What I dont understand is, why trade for the guy if you have zero plans to play him? And use a decent draft pick acquired in the same trade to trade for a lesser defenseman that you play every game.
And we will have that top 10 pick this draft.I fully understand this keep this pick, defer next years but I’d rather keep next years, this team will definitely be worse or about the same and a lottery pick is much better than a late 20s pick from panarin.
That’s all I’m going to say just to remind people. A top 10 pick is more valuable than a late 20s
Winning does that. Last year when the Rangers were presidents trophy winners, you didn’t hear a peep. This year they suck so guys are frustrated. SimpleA lot of shitty players have complained about their icetime this year. The problem to me is the culture of that being acceptable in the room. Do you think the 13th forward or 8th defenseman for Florida or Colorado would feel emboldened to do that?

It’s literally impossible to predict how next season will go. A lot will happen in the offseason.
Multiple of those players are journeyman dudes that have been around the league plenty and rode the bench plenty. Vesey and De Haan have never been cancers or any bullshit kinda stuff to my knowledge, just dudes trying to work hard but aren't that good. They are used to getting benched at times, waived, traded for peanuts, etc. So, to me, that says there was a greater level of dysfunction with the coaching staff. A complete lack of respect between the coaches and players, but also likely some pretty shit ways of not just setting the lineup but also explaining why (or not explaining and treating these players like they are kids in peewee).A lot of shitty players have complained about their icetime this year. good scrap. love the douchebag shove from roobroeck on the lil bridgeport pissant. dorrington getting a taste is good too.

This team is not a late 20s pick next season. This is a changing of the guard. Columbus is improving, the Flyers are beginning to. Canes will always be a postseason team, same as the Devils. Washington is a wildcard. Pens and Isles are down with us. A lot of these Atlantic teams are improving too, so a wild card will be tough to come about.I fully understand this keep this pick, defer next years but I’d rather keep next years, this team will definitely be worse or about the same and a lottery pick is much better than a late 20s pick from panarin.

Vince missed the boat for months when he was inviting the players to blame Drury for all this crap before Christmas. I don't think Vince even realized what was happening with the players bc he constantly gave them an out to shit on Drury and escape responsibility. Then when Brooks went after the player Vince followed suit. But not openly critical of Drury. Vince has openly criticized Drury’s errors. Vince is a breath of fresh air to read. Larry Brooks is still a Dolan pawn.

NY Rangers eliminated from NHL playoff race: An obituary for the 2024-25 Blueshirts
The final blow came Saturday in Carolina, but the origins of this lost season can be traced back much further.www.lohud.com
I’m actually more bullish on Drury as a GM than most, I think he’s made enough moves that show he’s a good enough talent evaluator (on the whole) and has shown he will move on from guys who shouldn’t be part of the solution here and is eager to make moves.
However and it’s a big however, I think he’s clearly demonstrated he is atrocious at the communicating and relationships side of this with his players and from reporting it seems like he’s somewhat a paranoid type. The organization could probably benefit from a President to come in and handle the areas Drury has shortcomings in instead of him being both President and GM.
This has been my thinking too. Drury is in over his head with both jobs. One or the other. Give the other guy the communication part. Could really be either role.I’m actually more bullish on Drury as a GM than most, I think he’s made enough moves that show he’s a good enough talent evaluator (on the whole) and has shown he will move on from guys who shouldn’t be part of the solution here and is eager to make moves.

Colorado may have insisted on De Haan being in the deal, maybe Drury didn't want him. What I dont understand is, why trade for the guy if you have zero plans to play him? And use a decent draft pick acquired in the same trade to trade for a lesser defenseman that you play every game.
If he was good at evaluating talent, the team wouldn't have Soucy playing over de Haan to begin with.I’m actually more bullish on Drury as a GM than most, I think he’s made enough moves that show he’s a good enough talent evaluator (on the whole) and has shown he will move on from guys who shouldn’t be part of the solution here and is eager to make moves.

Penguins will get McKenna with OUR pick.....so why would they trade it away ? Rangers are the only club stupid enough to do that move . Giving them the 26 pick is going to haunt us for 15 years like losing Crosby did .....Maybe we can trade Panarin to the Penguins for our former 2026 1st. Soucy plays becuase JT Miller wanted him on the Rangers. Another pie to the face on those who claimed JT was this messiah who would fix the locker room issues. He is just another mopey player who needs his comfort blanky. That doesn't explain how he can play fairly well then promptly sit for 18 games...especially after Soucy stunk up the joint.
