Not sure where that’s coming from. Trocheck literally told the media that Laf did the Rangers well by signing that contract.I don’t think Laf’s contract sat to well with Trochek either.

Yeah cause people are just making problems up out of thin air when in reality the issue is, the team and players just aren’t very goodNot sure where that’s coming from. Trocheck literally told the media that Laf did the Rangers well by signing that contract.
Yeah, players never lie to the media so I guess you’re right. I just remember after the Laf contract was announced that the Laf, Tro, Bread line didn’t seem to celebrate the way they did last year, and Trochek especially seemed grouchy to me. Of course the whole team was was like that so I probably read too much into it.Not sure where that’s coming from. After his comments, I dont think Kakko was never going to resign here.Drury needs to go ASAP... he's killed a year that should be in our cup window and did nothing to solve anything. Trading Kakko should never have happened and if it was between him and Drury they should have sent Drury packing. The coach and GM lost this team back in September. Stop this madness, get rid of them before they infect Othmann, Berard and Perrault.
You’re 99% making something out of nothing. Maybe they don’t celebrate like they did last year because they and the team are complete ASS now.Yeah, players never lie to the media so I guess you’re right. You are so right....the comments were made during the period Drury was shipping out anyone who didn't want to be here. KK had a permanent scowl by then over his lack of ice time. He was a goner the moment the "story of his discontent" hit the wires. After his comments, I dont think Kakko was never going to resign here.
From what I'm able to find, he does not. He will be exempt next year and the year after. He's up for a new contract at the end of the season and I don't know if that will have any effect on his future waiver status.Does Garand have to pass through waivers next year ?
Hard to believe they haven’t fired a coach mid-season since Renney 16 years ago…I haven't even bothered with either of the west coast games and I won't with tonight's either.
But it’s criminal that Lavi has been allowed to finish out the year. I get not wanting to let the vet core kill another coach but he’s as responsible for this mess as anyone.
Would leave Laviolette in California. After last night just can’t keep ignoring
Laf will throw you a bone, then steal your dog bed.I don’t think Laf’s contract sat to well with Trochek either.
Considering what the core has done to the last 4, is a new coach really gonna change the putrid play and erase the bad habits these guys have garnered over the years? I think not. No matter what happens, I'm pretty sure we're going to see half this roster gone by opening night.Hard to believe they haven’t fired a coach mid-season since Renney 16 years ago…

We have the whole summer to keep kicking a dead Kreider, but we have to remember that opposing GMs are salivating at the the thought of lowballing us into oblivion.

AhahahahYou mean Laf is not in the back making my salad??? What a rip-off!![]()
Unfortunately, the bad habits run beyond our highest paid players.....this has been a system wide problem for ages....If it's GMs plural, thats how bidding wars get started.
I don't think they're going to do poorly for Kreider. A bunch of the "contenders" are going to fall short this year and are going to look for a veteran forward with a track record and the UFA market is really, really shallow. Teams overlook bad seasons alllllll the time and I'd venture to say that almost every GM would look at Kreider and think "we can fix him."
Plus he's actually a reasonable bet for a bounce back. Not 50 goal bounce back, but I could see him scoring 30+ again next year.
They will if they enforce good habits.
I don't think anyone is coaching this team to send all of their forwards below the dots with less than 2 minutes left in a game they're up by one or encouraging Panarin to do stupid shit and take marathon shifts where he can't get back on defense because he's been running on empty for 45 seconds.
If you don't set standards and expectations (especially amongst your highest paid players) then thats how you get bad habits.
The roster needs to turn over anyway, but they could run it back with the same group and a new coach (who is going to enforce the above) and be better next year.

it starts at the top. When they shipped off tony d and brendan lemeiux in the 2020-2021 season a clear message was sent to the players. We want a country club atmosphere here. You are to act like bankers, not a bunch of union guys.
F that. I want guys who can barely read and are full of rage and anger. This teams core is quite literally full of guys whos favor hobbies are
1) DJ’ing and playing music (mika)
2) read poetry (kreider)
3) fashion (kandre)
4) sulking at every chance he gets (fox)
5) generally having zero confidence (laff)
We need to tear it down. The core is garbage mentally. We need to bring in guys who are competitive, full of rage and generally want to win at all costs even if it means intentionally hurting the opposition.
