The AP has reported the following:

"The NHL said the Rangers informed the league last year they were looking into sexual assault allegations by a team employee against Artemi Panarin after a report detailing the situation and settlement payments made to the woman surfaced Thursday."

This, at the minimum, is better then previous orgs caught in this nonsense. Doesnt mean im giving them a gold star. I'm sure more information will come about this throughout the summer.

Don't understand why people thought Mika was going anywhere. Kreider? Yeah. Panarin? Maybe (and maybe even closer to "yeah" with the latest news). But Mika? Never saw it.
I think most people thought there was a semi-strong possibility Mika may have been disgruntled to the point of wanting out. I agree it was always a longshot but in the back of my head I honestly thought there was a chance with everything going on this season. His downturn in play/production, all the rumblings of locker room BS, Kreider/other teammates being floated in trades that made everyone ever-so sad and collectively quit on the organization, etcetc all made it look like he had absolutely no desire to be here. I wouldn't have been surprised if he did want to jump ship then, but that tweet makes it sound like we don't live in the timeline where we see Mika traded during this contract.

If he is intent on staying, he better figure his shit out real quick otherwise the fan reaction will make him wish he took this season as an out.

Yeah I don’t get why anyone is shocked at Mika’s comments.

He seems to enjoy living in NYC. His wife does too. His/her family are always visiting from Sweden, easy commute.

And not to get back into the Trouba of it all, but it’s his right to stay. It’s in his contract. Cry all you want.

never expected Mika to actually want to leave but him going public with it is kinda funny. Quite the culture we’ve built here
He’s got eyes, he’s seen how they did Goodrow, dragged Trouba out the back and tried to do the same with his BBF CK.

He’s getting on the record about it early. It’s the right move from his POV.

Oh I agree, if I was him I’d do the same. I just think it’s amusing it’s gotten to the point that players are actively sending a shot across the bow of management in public
