And not surprisingly, you have to reverse yourself to get it right
Many more hits than misses

No, many more misses than hits and numerous ludicrous proposals that even NHL 25 would reject.

Rempe and his 5 minute major ejection, for the 4th time in 22 games, almost cost this fragile team its first victory in weeks. Team kills of its 7th PK, a 5 minute major, and somehow wins.

Bern: "Rempe in the lineup is why the Rangers won"

While the kid should have been more aware and not held off on the hit but been extra careful about raising his arm on that play, he otherwise had an excellent game. His energy + speed + hustle set a tone for both teams and that was to our advantage

As to yr first sentence, you are again wrong
live with that or change

That's like saying I have an excellent GF: smart, fun personality, great body, the only downside is that she sleeps with other men.

Some of you are just cucks for Rempe, and are willing to accept his stupid shit that has nearly cost this team multiple times, because "he brings energy and is a good kid".

I really want to like Rempe, but I said it already last year: this stupidity needs to end. And so far, he seems to have learned nothing.

Enough about Rempe, lets get back to the real issue with the team. Meeka and Cryder.

Some of the clips of Mika from this game or laughable. His play on the disallowed goal and the good goal with both pathetic. Then he comes in on a partial break and instead of shooting decides to spinorama suicide pass that had no chance of connecting. Legit thought in my head to buy Mika out this summer, whatever the cost. Active detriment to the team. Far more than Rempe

Kreider just doesnt skate hard. And if it's his bad back, he's had it for awhile.

Huge NO NO NO on moving Garand, who has the bern seal of approval
Hopefully Igor considers LA and we have hopes of bringing back Byfield
In that case Garand breaks in co starter w/Quick
If Shesty stays Quick has earned the right to stay as long as he can perform and wants to.
But he is on borrowed time, moving Gar now is foolish, even if I like upside of Huge Ole Ass

Again, DO NOT MOVE Garand
What are the odds? I’m not privy to any inside information.
Most people have no knowledge of who Dubas and Spezza were evaluating last night.
If they were there to evaluate Ranger prospect(s) it’s safe to assume the only two players that would make them travel to Hartford would be Garand or Mancini.
Of course there is always a chance they were there to watch a Bruin prospect.

He sure hustled to that locker room. I'm sure his fragile teammates were THRILLED to have to kill off their 7th penalty for a full 5 minutes with a delicate lead @ 2-1.

I'm sure his coach was happy too.

The Rangers won IN SPITE of Rempe and his performance, not because of it no matter what your spin on the situation is. He put his team in a terrible spot, with ANOTHER idiotic hit, and was jettisoned for the rest of the game. Good job energy guy!

Addition by subtraction. Id still consider it.

But he probably has trade value. They need to start making life tough for him so he waives.
Meh I wouldn’t consider the buyout. If your team can’t withstand the poor play—or even poor attitude—of one player, they’re the problem. They need to replace as many of the “problem” players as they can in a way that doesn’t hurt the team’s assets (including cap space) with guys that will play effortfully. Make it so it’s weird not to play hard. If a guy like Mika is still somehow tanking the whole team, fine, look into it. But good teams should be able to withstand one mopey/underperforming player. Just my humble opinion.

A trade should obviously be explored if he’s open to waiving though.

I’ve never seen so many grown men weirdly obsessed with a 22 year old boy that isn’t even good at hockey.

1. Dispute that he has learned nothing, you want instant gratification.
Has more to learn, needs to be here/should have been already.
Faster he turns that corner, the better we will all be.

2. What he brings is legit upside, while his downside is not physical, but lack of experience. Patience. stop instant gratification

3. Hhhmmmmmmnn
I can make time w/a terrific, world class, has it all babe who wants my company, but also wants to be a free agent, so I have to share [which means I also get to be a free agent]
OR
I have to have her capitulate to my terms of exclusivity

think about that...

Yeah you can cherry pick but does not change FACT rest of what Rempe did was GOOD.
Also there were like what, 7 penalties total?
stop w/disingenuous attempt to misrepresent the narrative

Nothing to misrepresent - he took a dumb ass major penalty that hurt the team more than any of the other penalties did.

At this point, that dumb penalty is an expectation, not an anomaly. Open your eyes.

Buyout proof contract. We would save like less than 750k on the cap: https://puckpedia.com/player/mika-zibanejad/buyout?s=2025-2026
I'm not at the point where I think buying him out is an option, but it wouldn't be much different than what Minnesota did with Parise and Suter.

Both players had 4 years remaining on 13-year deals, and the buyouts were bad.

The top row is the cap hit, and the bottom row is the savings for each year. Outside of that first year, they've seen very little savings. They are currently paying 14.7 mil in dead cap and somehow are still one of the best teams in the league. Lucky for them, those cap hits drop to 833k next year.

Mika still has 5 years left on his contract, and we wouldn't get significant savings in any of the next 5 years if we bought him out. I don't think he's so far gone or has so little value that we need to go that route. Not yet.

I would, however, explore any and all options for moving him, including retaining up to 50%. With the NMC he'd have to approve any trade, but it's not impossible. If Kreider is traded and he loses ice time, he may be more amenable to a trade.

How conv of you to misrepresent occasional back is a 24/7 constant thing

We are extremely uphill to make, let alone advance in POs, with Zib + Lindgren dragging us down

Oh, btw, not tethered to the albatross Zib, he just scored.
Karma is telling you to bite me

Oh, and even w/the major, good game from Rempe, we won AGAIN w/him in the lineup

give it up and listen to bern
Are you really gloating about Kreider's EN goal? Your rose colored glasses are turning into blinders. 🤣🤣🤣

Can Rempe ho back down and play in Hartford AFTER he gets a suspension?
IIRC yes, but to serve the suspension he needs to be in the active NHL roster.

So, we can send him down to Hartford today and he can play, but he needs to sit in the NHL pressbox for his suspension.
