back issues

your criticism refusing to acknowledge this is unacceptable and unfair
Ok so get rid of him if he’s unable to play because he’s so injured. Because i want a guy with an injured back playing for me when it gets physical in the playoffs

Glad you have your excuse all set for his shit play all year long though.

How conv of you to misrepresent occasional back is a 24/7 constant thing

We are extremely uphill to make, let alone advance in POs, with Zib + Lindgren dragging us down

Oh, btw, not tethered to the albatross Zib, he just scored.
Karma is telling you to bite me

Oh, and even w/the major, good game from Rempe, we won AGAIN w/him in the lineup

give it up and listen to bern

Him scoring an EN goal (that cuylle did all the work for) is what you are going with to prove Kreider is good? Never change bern.

If Marcus Pettersson wasn’t out for awhile with a lower body injury I’d call it:
Lindgren and Dylan Garand
for Pettersson, 2026 2nd and 2027 2nd.

Ugh I would hate to give up on Garand.
I know that is a decent return and it makes us much better today but still. Especially to the Penguins (possibly giving them their goalie for the next decade).

Garand is doing great. If you are going to package him, it better not be for Pettersson. If you really want him, he's a UFA this summer. We are not a TDL super buyer so no rentals unless we are showing hockey stick curve improvements.

I don’t want him. This is not a wish trade, this is a guess trade. Kyle Dubas and Jason Spezza were at the Hartford/Providence game tonight.
They could have been there to scout a Bruins prospect or they could have been there to scout a Ranger prospect.
If it was a player off the Wolf Pack Roster I would only think it could be Mancini or Garand.
Mancini is probably not a prospect that Drury would deal especially with our lack of defensive depth. That leaves Garand who was just a center of an article about Utah should be targeting Dylan.
If Drury is still hopeful about this season then bringing in Pettersson and moving out Lindgren makes sense. In order to balance out the trade Garand goes in for Pittsburgh and two 2nd come back this way.

I don't think Pettersson is on their radar.

Rust/Bunting are more likely, especially the latter.
You may be right. Pettersson is out. States week to week. That can’t be good.

Feelin' good on a Wednesday
The Rangers clear out the rentals for picks. Use the picks to make trades for signed players.

Reilly Smith, Ryan Lindgren, Will Borgen(Chris Johnston on his pod said two teams have targeted Borgen as a trade deadline acquisition), Jimmy Vesey(Staple said the Rangers have tried to trade him), Chad Ruhwedel(stays as a roster filler), Jonathan Quick? Quick has a 20 team NTC list. Does he want to play for a contender?

The Rangers have all of their retention spots. Borgen is cheap at $2.7M. If there was a futures market for trade deadline betting, Dallas is one of the teams interested in Borgen. They are looking for a right handed shooting D who can PK.

Try to package Smith/Lindgren or Smith/Borgen for a 1st round pick. Trade Lindgren or Borgen to the Avs for the Rangers 2nd pick in 2025 acquired from Arizona/Utah. Colorado needs help on D.

Kreider goes for a first round pick. Future first round pick. 2026. The Rangers can include the pick in a future trade for a signed player or someone the Rangers want to pay. Kreider has a no trade list but the first round pick doesn’t have a no trade list. The acquiring team needs to have cap space for the $6.5M. The Rangers could take back an expiring contract or two to make the $$$ work.

The rest of the moves are tougher.
I mean I get all of this & i'd be fine, but this is fantasy because #Dolan

Reilly Smith is better than Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad. Just in case anyone wanted to know why our record sucks this year.

Back on the east coast
Funniest part is that the kid is playing well in Hartford with the extra time and responsibilities. Hartford, shockingly, plays about the exact opposite of the Rangers and routinely punches up. Haha.

But I think you know that. Pretty sure you watch the pack consistently.
Ironically, I actually went to the Wolfpack game tonight & they looked downright awful. It felt like I was watching a carbon copy of the big club. At one point in the 2nd period they were getting outshot 38-7. They were pinned in their own end for long stretches & played terrible fundamental hockey overall. Couldn't complete passes, overskating the puck & plenty of fanned clearing attempts.

Garand on the other hand was stellar. It was a miracle Providence only potted one tonight & he had no chance on the one they did get, it was a rebound that pinballed. Sitting there, I was seething watching this kid play thinking about the fat, bloated contract they just gave to Igor.

Wonder who they are getting a look at?

Side note, idk if this @DaveyUpper guy (person who retweeted this) posts here, but he has randomly become one of the better Rangers twitter accounts that I follow. Just thought he deserved a shout out, I noticed he finds alot of this random stuff most ppl miss.

I wish I would've noticed Dubas, I would've asked him who he was there to scout. If it was anyone besides Garand, tonight was a bad audition. The most noticeable Pack skaters were Jenkins, Belzile & Chmelar. Mancini flashed here & there paired with Scanlon, but they spent a LOT of time in their own end.

This team is really good aside from the fact that 14.5 million in cap space is being held up by 2 losers.

Wonder who they are getting a look at?
