Igor and Miller's representation putting it out there that they want to get paid, when the team is sputtering annoys the shit out of me. Not for nothing but Lafreniere took a discount. Seems like the locker room has some guys who want to get paid and some guys who want to win games. Business decisions being made? Not good for the locker room when you're captain is already checked out.
Arthur Staple mentioned the Pulver-Goodrow-Miller connection in the summer.

Pulver was one the NHLPA executives during the 2004 lockout. The players lost an entire season and still accepted a salary cap. They offered a 24% rollback instead of a salary cap and Bettman took the 24% and got his cap. Great business decisions.

I thought he and "Not so Rosy" were the worst d-men I ever saw on our blue line....but the worst I ever wished on them was that they'd be moved somewhere else.
the worst???? seriously? worse than erik reitz, stu bickel, dmitri kalinin??? if i sat here for like 30 minutes and thought about it I could probably list 20 defenseman we’ve had worse than those two.

Time to Pulverize him. See what I did there?

Brooks said soemthing interesting the other day. Drury has to have meetings with every player and ask who wants to be a Ranger and who wants to get paid? Seems like the room is split.

Trouba clearly isnt happy enough here to play hard.

Igor wants to reset the goalie market and clearly the fact that he's unsigned is effecting him. I think he would rather remain a Ranger than not, but you cant put the genie back in the bottle. He'd have to take a discount at this point because the team is at a legitimate crossroads.

Kakko i like. The problem is there's a new story every month in a Finnish newspaper regarding his icetime. I dont think he is the star player he believes he is, and I'd rather keep him. But if he's talking about icetime to reporters, hes talking about icetime to his teammates. Thats not really healthy for team comraderie during a difficult stretch. Play like an alpha a bit more and you'll get paid and get to stay in NY.

Miller likes the spotlight too much. He has seen a lot of the praise on social media but his game has not changed in any real way since his rookie year. No physicality and no awareness. Lay out to block a shot one time please. He has star talent, and Im very afraid that he will realize it elsewhere, but part of me thinks it isnt happening under the bright lights. Trouba has also been attached to his hip for his entire tenure. I guarantee Jacob has told him to get his money.

Someone correctly pointed out that 24-25 was always going to be the turning point season. Once Kreider & Trouba's NMCs became NTCs there was a way out. Drury and Laviolette, and the players themselves need to decide who is in and who is out. A couple savvy trades and the Rangers can right the ship quickly. Despite the naysayers who are ready to give up.

K'Andre for Byfield would be grand. I don't think LA has soured on him so I don't think Miller is enough to get that deal done. I don't think adding Sykora would be enough. It might have to be Othmann + Miller if you want to get that deal done. Unless unless LA really wants to get Byfield's cap space back.
unfortunately it wil take more
Mobile pivots w/size and ability, young, cost controlled, are expensive

Is it affecting him? Or is this just who he is-- a good goalie with the ability to hit an insane peak that just doesn't have the consistency to be worth 50% more than other top goalies.

Before leaving, Edge pointed Kreider out as the likely first chip to fall once the core was at its end, both due to his very movable contract and because his strengths are very translatable to almost every team. Don't remember if he had any takes on Trouba specifically.
