You just want to be a naysayer & that's fine, but a hockey trade is also possible. All of this is ignoring the fact that my original point was that Lindgren can be dumped today....even if it's only for a mid round draft pick, the team would be way better off for it long term.
I'm not sure Mancini doesn't need to go up and down. I think he's going to be an NHL guy, but I'm not certain he's an every day NHL guy this year.

He might still end up being better than lindgren, but I dont know if thats the best thing for his long term development.

I dont want another Howden where a guy gets in, has tools, but is never sent down because he's better than the replacement options.

ive decided individual analytics for hockey are trash and to be taken with a grain of salt. so much of what happens on the ice is out of the players control. every player on a good teams analytics will be inflated, and the same for players on bad teams.

this is why players leave the rangers and magically look better analytically.

Theres some of that.

The rangers do play a game that isn't usually statistically appealing. Its why alot of teams have their own internal metrics that arent the same thing's we look at.

The rangers are currently a team that plays to its strengths, the problem is that last years strength's arent the same as this years.

We're not drawing enough Powerplays. Our cross seam passes aren't being completed at a high enough clip.

It’s over. There isn’t a single likeable player on this team. Stepan was a home grown player. We had duby, we had callahan. We had Henrik. Staal and Girardi were great Rangers. Home grown. MSL was cool. Hagelin. We had Kravstov, Rempe. Now this team is just disgusting from a likeability pov. There isn’t a single roster player who i’d cry for seeing them lift the cup or a single player whose career i’d be thrilled to watch blossom like a protagonist in a story. This is an all time zero charisma, zero identity, zero appeal team that plays like lazy entitled sacks of crap. Leave the on ice hockey aside, i just don’t care for this ensemble of players on a personal level. This has the performance and appeal of a PT Cruiser. Anyone who willingly goes for it is an idiot.

Laf’s mustache is ugly and lanarin is a goner in a year plus. We’ll be left with a team full of kids that were picked last for dodgeball.

It hurts when buds ripen and burst. As is it sad to see once radiant leaves wither away and fall haplessly to the ground. This was always going to happen when the old guard was going to be replaced by the new one. The trick was to hope that these 2 trajectories could somehow meet when the inevitable transition takes place. This is the year. Question is if there is too much imbalance on the scale (ie old timers demise) to be offset by the younger players still rising trajectory. WE will see. Never, ever judge a team by their performance in November, although it has been downright painful to watch aside from the first 5 games or so against mediocre opposition. The fragrance emitting from the room is not a pleasant smell. Capitano Picasso does not care any more - feels offended I presume... I think one or two moves might be made as a wakeup call.
