This would be more realistic if the Leafs didn’t also tamper. The OEL deal was reported prior to free agency opening last summer. The Reaves deal was reported prior to free agency opening in 2023. No one is innocent here.

Hey guys, I follow both Sabres and Leafs - some local radio people said they heard the Rangers and Leafs were the teams that seemed most interested in Peterka. Does that make any sense to you? I guess to replace Marner?

I think something around Carlo and McMann might be a good start? Any thoughts on that?

Buffalo might be trying to get Schneider + Cuylle from NYR, this might be TOR version on that…

Why is Fabbro signing that? He’s the 2nd best RHD on the market behind Ekblad. He’s not signing for less than Kovacevic.

Fabbro will likely come in higher than Carlo, and, I'd rather have Fabbro as he is a 2-way D and a puck mover.
Ekblad/Fabbro 1-2 options on D for me, and would want 1 for sure and if honest, would love both, then we would have a Cup worthy D.

Would definitely not mind Peterka but if we’re moving off of Carlo, I’d target McLeod. If that’s a no-go, I wonder if there’s a way to add Kulich to Peterka in the deal.

Kulich would be the Peterka replacement so probably not. And McLeod is one of the most important players on the team right now.

Buffalo could send back a Dman but he wouldn’t be right handed and wouldn’t be able to play in the top 4 right away. And wouldnt be better than Danford will be in a few years.
