It's a bad idea if the cap isn't going up, and a lot of our key players haven't signed deals yet. But even if the best player isn't going on the market, is it even a bad idea to have cap space?

Again, signing Kane and Toews doesn’t break the bank, that’s like half of what Riley mskes or less…….

Domi bring parr of marner playmaking. Sure Domi is not as good defensively but will not hurt as much than when he's playing at C

bring grit, work ethic/ hard worker, defensive ability with Nylander...I really like Dvorak game for MTL last playoff, it was probably habs best foward vs washington.

Put 2 veteran playing working hard with a promissing young prospect who rememebered me a kind of Darcy Tucker. Despite lack of scoring, ibreally liked Laughton game in playoff and i think as a complementsry player in a line, he can have higher impact

What can it hurt at league minimum. He’s playing better than most of our players did this playoffs. He’s a must sign I think just to teach the guys about what it takes to get to the dance

Our best guys have been in the league for close on a decade, if they need to learn lessons for a 40 year old at this point we may as well just give up and start again

Seems Tre has been trying to acquire another centre since he got here. I wouldn’t be surprised if we were the team offering up a 1st for a 50% retained JG Pageau last year.

As much as it makes me want to puke, Marchand makes the most sense to me as a big ticket FA to use the bulk of the Marner money on. He can still play, shows up in the clutch, would instantly shift the culture, and based in his age would likely demand the kind of term that lines up with our remaining window with this core. Make him an offer he can't refuse.

Dream summer would be Brown, Marchand, Hughes and Bennett joining the Leafs and Reilly getting traded, MM walks, Kampf, Calle and Robbie for mid round picks, while JT resigns for 4mil or so(deferred), Lorentz and Max sign for new deals.

I wouldn’t mind Brown in a third line role. Maybe something like Cowan - Tavares - Brown would be solid.

Considering the dearth of centers, getting more than one takes the pressure off.

I think both of these guys will be a buy-low situation.

I don't buy the Bennett fantasy, and both Dvorak and Suter are under 30.

Of course I want Bennett and Ehlers.

Major change i think you see only 5 or 6 of below, minor change more like 9

If we flame out in the offseason and you just resign JT and re-up the RFAs you would have a starting 12, it would be sad, but you have 12 plus maybe Cowan slides in....
