Bennett is going to have one ugly contract. Stay away.
As for the other fella, I think that picture is as close as you'll get to seeing him in blue and white for a while.

We love him, but he's a fourth liner. And a good one at that.Utah doesn’t seem to like McBain. They keep jamming him on the 4th line. Cooley and Hayton are their 1/2 at center. Then they used Stenlund, Kerfoot, and Bjugstad just as much as McBain after that.
What do you think the ask would be for him?Available forwards this summer I suspect are Nick Schmaltz and Matias Maccelli.

I'd be doing that then. Could even throw in a depth player as well.Third rounder. He had 57 points in Arizona last year, but a big drop off this year. Mostly he lost his role in the top six as the team has improved, and he's not effective enough to handle a bottom six role. Because of that, he had a bunch of healthy scratches this season.
Durzi still has a role for now but things will get complicated at RD once Maveric Lamoureux becomes a full-timer. At that point, we'll have Marino, Durzi, Kesselring, and Lamoureux on the right side. I suspect Marino would be the one to go because his contract is up the soonest. Not out of the question that Durzi goes to LD too as he played some left D with the Kings.I'd be doing that then. What's the opinion of Durzi for Utah fans? Could they look to move him as well this summer?
It is.A top six centre has got to be Tres #1 focus, even if they plan on extending JT (his legs are making him better suited for a 3rd line wing + PP specialist).
Which circles back to the idea of Tre offering to take an expensive veteran off another teams hands for a mostly capspace return. I'm curious if he may inquire about Kadri from the Flames. He's got a history with him,.and with Shanny gone for good now, so goes the last remaining part of the front office that didn't care for the guy
Kadri's age and contract aren't exactly a desirable combo, but beggers with minimal assets can't always be choosers. And Tre obviously has no issue turning to vets for his depth player roles

Sergachev - Marino
Simashev - Durzi
Maatta - Kesselring
Cole - Lamoureux
Our D is pretty set long term.
Last year, he was 10th in ice time, which is a 4th liner. He’s 5th in faceoffs taken.
The year before, he was 11th in ice time and 4th in faceoffs.
We love him, but he's a fourth liner. And a good one at that.
Utah next year:
Keller Cooley Guenther
But TBD TBD
Crouse Hayton Doan
Kerfoot Stenlund McBain
And in two years:
Keller Cooley Guenther
But TBD TBD
Iginla Hayton Doan
Crouse Beaudoin McBain
TBD to be filled with the 4th overall pick and a UFA winger.
Available forwards this summer I suspect are Nick Schmaltz and Matias Maccelli.
I like this Kadri idea. Out of all the centers people have been talking about, he's the most productive and has all of the intangibles we desperately need. He loves Toronto too, as we know. Also, he just had a 35-goal season, which is pretty amazing. He fits the timeline and, like you said, his opps are gone.A top six centre has got to be Tres #1 focus, even if they plan on extending JT (his legs are making him better suited for a 3rd line wing + PP specialist).

I wonder what it would cost though? Even though we would be taking a long, 7 million contract, Calgary has plenty of cap room. As long as it's not Cowan, I'd be in.
If he’s a 4th liner, he should be available for a reasonable cost.
I think he’s more than that.
Wondering if Mark Stone gets thrown overboard if Vegas takes a serious run at Marner.
I'd be curious to see who might pop out there, and if it could be tied to a sign and trade with Marner.Wondering if Mark Stone gets thrown overboard if Vegas takes a serious run at Marner.
In how many games? What’s their +- by the way? Also, comparing them to the same guys we want to ship out is not a good argument.Last 3 playoffs….
Matthews 9 goals
Marchment 8 goals
Marner 6 goals
We haven't lost just to Florida and that's the problem. Was Boston, then TB and now Florida. We also lost to Montreal and Columbus.I don't see how anyone who is watching this fla carolina series can not be having some doubts about making big changes to this team. This is coming from someone who was all aboard not only the make big changes train but do a complete rebuild train just a week ago.
