Need a way to get McDavid out of Edmonton and into Toronto.
Maybe a divorce with his partner. That could do it lol

Get rid of Mangiapane and thats damn near perfect. At first I was very against moving Carlo but if Treliving could turn Carlo+ for McLeod and then sign Ekblad, I think that would be great work.
Knies(7) - Matthews(13.25) - Domi(3.75)
McMann(1.35) - McLeod(6.5) - Nylander(11.5)
Mangiapane(3.5) - Tavares(4.5) - Raddysh(2.25)
Jeannot(2) - Laughton(1.5) - Holmberg(1.25)
McCabe(4.51) - Ekblad(8)
Rielly(7.5) - Tanev(4.5)
Benoit(1.35) - Ekman Larsson(3.5)
Stolarz(2.5) - Woll(3.67)

Considering our cup window, it might be worth the risk of giving him a bit more term, but only if it brought down the AAV to a reasonable number. 9 million is too high.Huge reason Marchand excelled in Florida was because of how good that third line was and the favourable match ups.
Coming to the Leafs he would most likely play on the first or second line and the dude will be 38 years old by next year's playoffs.
The most you're getting out of him is 1-2 years and even then you don't know what happens with injuries at that age.
Now now, he deserves his five years before he gets fired. The only thing scarier than losing 2 of your best players is knowing the cap space and trade chips are in Brad Treliving's hands.
To fill up air time.Kyper keeps talking About a Marner trade. He was pretty locked in on him earlier. Not sure why he keeps saying it.

It would only happens if it helps get MM's cap down, plus there is a piece or two that Leafs want, but I doubt it.Kyper keeps talking About a Marner trade. He was pretty locked in on him earlier. Not sure why he keeps saying it.
huh? you got the wrong guy? I despise the fake smart guySay hi to team Dubas, tell them they sadly left a few fan boys behind……
Not nearly enough for vegas unfortunatelyTo Toronto-
Tomas Hertl
Ivan Barbashev
Nic Hague
To Vegas-
Marner sign and trade
Bobby Mcmann
Simon Benoit
Easton Cowan
I proposed the same thing yesterday but I believe McMann would have to go to Buffalo. They’d want a quality NHL winger along with Carlo. At first I was very against moving Carlo but if Treliving could turn Carlo+ for McLeod and then sign Ekblad, I think that would be great work.

Honestly, Marner agreeing to a sign and trade feels like it is the only left that he can do to prevent making him an incredibly hated ex-Leaf once he’s gone.If we can do a sign and trade with Vegas as Kyper implies, they would have redeemed themselves of this Marner situation, but probably unlikely.
If McMann is involved, a solid buy low candidate who can skate and be a little greasy in free agency could be Beauvillier. He seemed to get his game back on track in Washington playing with Ovi and Strome (who wouldn’t).I proposed the same thing yesterday but I believe McMann would have to go to Buffalo. This would make the off-season significantly easier though.
Beauvillier is an interesting player to watch in UFA. How much of a bump does he get from 1.25M for 25 points? If McMann is involved, a solid buy low candidate who can skate and be a little greasy in free agency could be Beauvillier. Beauvillier - McLeod - Nylander
I don’t think he really gets a bump. He split time between three teams two seasons ago and was again traded this past season after not having a great season in Pittsburgh. His regular season games with Washington weren’t anything special either. He just had a solid playoffs of what 10 games? Don’t think he makes more than 1.5 on a 1 or 2 year deal.Beauvillier is an interesting player to watch in UFA. How much of a bump does he get from 1.25M for 25 points?
I agree but he’s projected at 3.2M.I don’t think he really gets a bump. We need to stop caring of who is leaving and focus on who is gonna come in… it’s the only thing that truly mattersHonestly, Marner agreeing to a sign and trade feels like it is the only left that he can do to prevent making him an incredibly hated ex-Leaf once he’s gone.
He's done nothing in his time here to to avoid rendering him one of the most genuinely unlikeable athletes to play in Toronto, for any sport.
Quite far from the God-like, beloved Gilmour-esque status that you know deep inside his petty-ass craves that kind of reverence in his “home town”.
Feels like accepting a sign and trade is really the only thing left that Marner can do to avoid the outright hate that will come his way if he leaves for nothing.
Nothing he has to do, of course, but he will be making his bed with this fan base, and by making his bed, I firmly mean shitting in it.
Either way, can’t wait for his clown car driven by Papa Marner and Ferris to haul ass out of here.
Enough is enough.
“I believe that if the Maple Leafs put $20M over four years ($5M AAV) in front of John Tavares, he would sign it… But neither side is there quite yet, but I think that ends up being the sweet spot if this gets done here in the next seven days."
Both would be fantastic targets. I’d sign both in a heartbeat. Need to try and find some value deals.Glass and Kostin are not gonna be qualified. I expect both to be chased by the Leafs heavily.
With Glass - Just go get him now, and don't let him get to the market.Glass and Kostin are not gonna be qualified. I expect both to be chased by the Leafs heavily.
