That deal is particularly bad bc even if Philly REALLY likes Risto, he's a UFA after this upcoming season. So you could've spent all this capital to bring in a guy who leaves next summer. I know he stinks, but if you're hoping a change of scenery can help him bounce back to being good (was he ever?) it would make a little more sense if he had a few years at a low-ish cap hit left on his deal.
