CK was fantastic on the PP. Continues to be elite in his role there.

He sucked massively at ES. Considering that most of the game is played there, it's reasonable to hope that his game improves next season.
I am hoping that a lot of the players games improve next year because there were a lot of disappointments.

I may or may not called him a beta cuck with no sources.

I (not just being biased as I'm the biggest Buch fan) think Buch is more likely to take the team-friendly deal. Strome closest buddies are both gone now. Buch has grown so much with this team, he was such an awkward scrawny dweeb when he first came over here LOL and he's now like the most beloved guy in the room and is hilarious, he's completely came out of his shell with this group and I think he'd take a substantial cut to stay here. He's hanging out with Igor as we speak
Strome hangs out with Bitetto now.

I’m kind of thinking we end up signing Strome longterm. And he takes a team-friendly deal. Just a guess. I think he’s one of those guys who means more to the Rangers than he does to other teams. So the offers won’t be there. Buch seems to have a lot of value around the league. Chytil is a toss-up.
He's one of those guys like Fast who we'll realize was a bigger component than we thought if he gets gone.

Jujhar Khaira Stats | Hockey-Reference.com

I’ve been a fan of the style of play Juhjar Khaira played in Edmonton. His fancy stats have always lacked but when I’m looking closer, his zone start percentage leans HEAVILY towards the defensive portion of the rink. With that said, I’m curious how others would interpret this data.

Nearly 75% defensive zone start % but only -14 Corsi rel. That number looks horrible but based on his heavily skewed defensive zone start percentage is that really that bad?

I'd love to keep Buch but I'm not sure how it works with Kakko and Kravtsov and the cap

yes Buch is better than those guys now but the Rangers need to be able to give them a chance to play up to their skills. If Buch somehow was still on a cheap contract then that'd be great but I kinda doubt he's gonna take a team friendly deal

His playdriving numbers bounced back after he was taken away from Mika.

They wanted the bigger, stronger, center-playing guy over the undersized winger. I mean, the last thing we really need is an undersized winger. I really liked Blackwell but Rooney makes more sense given the composition of the team.
Rooney and Blackwell are the same weight, but Rooney is five inches taller. That means Blackwell is bigger. Probably stronger too.

Yes, Khaira is a bad player and we have no need for him here. He’d just take minutes from a guy like Barron or Gauthier, and there’s better 4th line guys that will be available if we need a 13F.

Why are you so obsessed with targeting all of these bad bottom-6 players?

Someone associated with the Coyotes just called me out of a clear blue sky and asked me what I knew about Georgiev.

?

Soccer style kicker, graduated from Collier High June 1976, Stetson University honors graduate class of 1980, holds 2 NCAA Division One records, one for most points in a season, one for distance, former nickname "The Mule", the first and only pro-athlete to come out of Collier County, and one HELL of a model American.

I wouldn’t say obsessed. I like to look at guys who maybe aren’t discussed for thousands of pages. It’s interesting to me to try to find guys who may be undervalued or underutilized elsewhere.

It’s more boredom with just discussing Larkin or Eichel for the 4th straight month…

Is it though? I mean i get the Kravy point because he hasnt even played a full NHL season but he showed more consistency and attention to detail on both sides of the puck. Chytl still hasnt found his defensive zone side.

Kakko the kid this year looked like a beast but NEVER got the opportunity on the top 2 lines bc Quinn wanted blackwell there instead. Kakko has turned into an outstanding defensive forward and honestly towards the end of last season the kid started to look dominant out there with the puck. So i would say he has definitely earned his increase of ice time.

Chytil was second on the team to Kakko in takeaways/60.

AZ doesn’t have a first to give. But they could trade their way into the late first round with all those picks. IMO you’d have to be crazy to deal a first for Georgiev. Guy sucks
