Value of: Rossi to Flyers

You don’t want to know. iIRC there was talks about them denying 2 firsts previously for him or 2 firsts plus.
That’s not an unreasonable stance from Philly. Rossi is worth at least 1. I’d throw a 1st plus Heidt in too. Or Spacek.

That's because most of our armchair scouts hold a grudge. They hate Tippett because they wanted Denisenko in the G trade and the Flyers forever messed up royal by not getting Denisenko instead.

I just dislike Tippett because he's really stupid and ineffective 95% of the time. You ever see those rail guns from the first half of the 20th century? The high caliber blammers that could only travel on train tracks? That's how Owen Tippett plays hockey.

I think the Flyers f***ed up by not trading him before the 2024 deadline when he had a marginal cap hit and was on a scoring heater. Might've netted a first and a good prospect, instead of 8 years of extremely one-dimensional hockey.

If Philly are really interested they will need to trade Couturier
To me the better option is make an hockey trade with Colorado if they not resigning Nelson
An Hockey trade like that can make sence:
Couturier to Colorado (value down due to his contract and injury)
Colton and Wood (Wood more a cap dump and Colton a very versatile players

I think this can be a win win situation for both team

Couturier is a Flyer until he retires. No team in the league is taking his contract with his injury history. He's still a very serviceable bottom 6 player right now, but he seems destined to be on forever LTIR at some point before the deal is up. NTC and a father of young children, too.

“Based on conversations with numerous NHL sources, the Philadelphia Flyers, Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins, Chicago Blackhawks, and Seattle Kraken have all expressed interest in acquiring Rossi.”

Can’t find the dang article but this guy read it too:

Then why don’t you keep him. Why would you give up a young top 6 C on a team that desperately needs one
Small, kinda slow and appears to want big $. Also, it’s the FO that appears to want to move him. Majority of fans hope we keep him

Am I crazy to think he's asking for a reasonable contract. This supposed 5x$5m offer from the Wild seems silly.
Hard to say. Early reports were that he was looking for ~$8M long-term.

After the 5 x $5M got out, I think it was said that their counter was shorter term (bridge) at a little more money, so maybe something like 3 x ~$5.5-$6M, which was declined by the org.

Just guesses though.

Personally, I would have this sort of scale for Rossi:

8 x $8M
7 x $7.5M
6 x $7M
5 x $6.5M
4 x $6M
3 x $5.5M
2 x $5M
1 x $4.5M

So I think I have Rossi's camp closer to reality than Guerin's. But we're all pretty convinced that Guerin isn't emitting a strong "keep him" vibe anyway.

I’m just waiting for the Russo article explaining WTF is going on behind the scenes. Seems clear there is some tension, but nobody is sure about whether it is repairable or if the divide between Guerin and Rossi’s camp is overblown. Wish Russo had the access to the current regime that he has had in the past. I suspect there are some juicy parts that have been kept under wraps

8 million is reasonable if you think he can be a ~60 pt player. With the cap going up that’s probably the going rate for a 2nd liner. I don’t think Tippett at 6.5 will be hard to move in a few years at all

When fans are going mad about Rossi and propose Foerster (even +) and TK (OMG) they should realize: if player is super-undersized it doesn’t automatically mean he’s super skilled.

Fans who dream about Rossi+Michkov connection should watch playoffs games, at least sometimes.

Anyway, stop this s&&t. Late 1st + cap dump it’s ok for a player, who doesn’t prove his value without Kaprizov in 5 years after draft

I attached his stats when KK was injured

No one has suggested Rossi for Konecny straight up. (OMG) Obvious to all of us there would need to be a significant + or two. Let’s not be overly dramatic here.

People need to stop posting this, it's not true. Late 1st and okay player is not getting Rossi, nor are wild accepting a 2025 pick

Why are you leaving off the portion where he had 5G/7A in 12GP during Kap’s first injury stint?

It’s more of a positional need for the Flyers. They have so few centers in the system and the ones they have and will have soon are 18 and since teams rarely trade centers, Flyers will be waiting at least 4 years till they possibly have adequate centers. They have nothing on the NHL level. Foerster will probably be a a shoo in for a 30 goal scorer but I’m not sure he has a super high ceiling that makes him irreplaceable
