Value of: Rossi to Flyers

Your team Canada wingers that helped bring you to... a bottom 6 finish. Works both ways.

And most of us here wouldn't have done either of those things with Rossi, and I don't think the OP was making any prediction of what Guerin is thinking about doing.
Oh yeah well I wouldn’t have had either of our wingers on the team Canada roster so jokes on you, it works both ways.

Oh wait….

Because of Tocchet? Philly looks like the could use a young skilled C. I’m a Rossi fan, would love to see him flourish there….
I think Philly needs a young C more than anyone in the league but I just don’t think Briere will be interested in investing assets into another small center like Rossi when they’ve already got Luchanko in the system who they think is close.

Man, i would absolutely love Rossi. But i trust the Flyers to do exactly what you expect them to do, and targeting an undersized center isn't one of those things.

Rossi goes to the "hard" places more consistently than anyone else on the team and actually scores from there. I don't know what BGs problem is but I really don't think size is it. It seems like the obvious reason but I really don't think it is.
I think if the value is there another short player is okay tbh. Better an aggressive short guy than another fancy tallboi who avoids body contact.

Rossi to Philly, Rossi jerseys will sell out in Little Italy even though Rossi is from Austria.
Rocky Balboa will be the first to buy his jersey.
Rossi and Michkov on the same line, its like Rocky Balboa and Ivan Drago playing together.

Now that I think about, Jiricek isn’t really a rookie. I still don’t think they will play them together.
the only reason I have been saying this, Russo and that FSNNorth guy on their podcast have been suggesting they will start on the 3rd pair and work their way up

We need top six centers, not bottom six centers
I was half joking but teams don’t usually trade top 6 centers. Almost every team is looking for at least one. Rossi seems to be one of the only options out there. Maybe a team likes him enough to trade one of their C’s for Rossi but usually if a team has 2 top 6 centers they keep them unless a change of scenery trade is warranted
