You got a former 5’9” center running the team, I could see Briere being more apt to look beyond the vertically challenged Marco Rossi’s shortcomings. I bet he blows up playing with some of that young talent they have on the wing. I like the fit there, MN needs scoring punch on the wing, bonus points for right shot. What’s coming back from Philly?

He worked great with Russian star kaprizov and considering philly's lack of centers he could form a great duo with michkov but it doesn't seem like Philly has what Minnie might want maybe des and cates along with a 2nd

Oofda, I like Cates, but will take more than him, a 2nd, and a goon to land a 23yr old 60pt center.

Foerster, Konecny, and Tippett are the interesting pieces…
Tippett was given a long-term contract and isn't that good. Every Philly fans want to dump his new contract, no thanks. Wild are just coming off cap hell, no reason for them to take on any long-term contract from another team, especially one of Tippett's/

Rossi seems like he could pull 2nd line minutes. Seems to have a good hockey IQ, without playing smaller than his (already diminutive) size. Jeff Gorton said he was looking for size and grit, but that he wouldn't do that at the detriment of talent; that he would surround tha ttalent with size and grit. I wonder if Rossi is on the habs radar at all.

"Here take our young top 6 center that we played on the 4th line in our most important games and only offered 5x5 to. But you'll have to give us your top young winger or your team Canada winger."

Edit: Both are team canada wingers.

Your team Canada wingers that helped bring you to... a bottom 6 finish. Works both ways.

And most of us here wouldn't have done either of those things with Rossi, and I don't think the OP was making any prediction of what Guerin is thinking about doing.

I don’t see Konecny moving due to an NMC kicking in unless he requests out. I think Tippett or Foerster would be fine starters but I’m not sure what the Wild’s needs are. Their top 4 looks pretty locked in this season but would they take a flier on Risto for their bottom 4 as part of a larger package? He’s looked good under Shaw and seems like a Guerin player.

Would you believe it's an offensively inclined top six center?

Don't count on them trading Rossi for a defenseman, or doing much to acquire defensemen at all.

No! Wild have David j and Zeev B as their bottom next year. Foerster and plus , yes! No to Tippett

If you compare Rossi to a similar undersized player who wasn't really breaking out of his first team in Daniel Briere himself, he was dealt for a power winger

Tippett for Rossi may be a decent building block for a deal

Not for wild! They aren’t taking on Tippett with his new contract that every Philly fan is trying to get rid of
