From here, close to family, chance at cup, finish career in your home town? Pretty silly question.ROR signed at a discount for the Preds. I can't see Trotz trading him.
Also why do Jets fans seem to think Toews would actually want to come here?
I wish we could elect you as the new GM in Nashville. But alas, I don't see Trotz being that perceptive. He is married to O'Reilly, possibly also to Schenn, and isn't going to change his mind on the wondrous leadership and intangibles value they bring to the Preds. Why, if it wasn't for them, the team might have been relegated to the AHL this year, who knows.Someone on our broadcast team last night said you guys might be looking to add some size/grit to your d-corp. Can we send you Schenn too?
In all seriousness, while ROR has been a warrior in the past and had a solid year last season, I was worried he was slowing down then. This year, I feel like he's slowed down even more. I don't think he gets moved because what Trotz would want for his leadership and intangibles doesn't make up for his overall game taking a decent slide. If he loses another 1/4 step, he's done.
I'd be more than happy to move him to you guys as I think you're primed for a good run. I just don't see it in the cards as being good trade partners.
I appreciate the kind words. As luck would have it, I could start tomorrow as I'm currently out of work and need a job. It's funny, most of the players in the NHL have probably been leaders of their teams over the years. They've all probably played on each of the special teams.I wish we could elect you as the new GM in Nashville. But alas, I don't see Trotz being that perceptive. Has he ever spent any significant time here since going pro? As far as I know he's mostly been in either Chicago or Arizona. From here, close to family, chance at cup, finish career in your home town? Pretty silly question.
You also don't play professional hockey. And maybe he doesn't want to come here, but you questioned it like it's some random idea, and I explained why he would want to come here.Has he ever spent any significant time here since going pro? I think he signs in Vegas (strong MB connection in that org, closer to where he spends time in the southwest), or other real contenders like Colorado or Dallas.
Pretty silly to assume he'd just want to come here. I know I'm from here and it's the last place I'd wanna play.
He has a beautiful cabin on Lake of the Woods, so yesHas he ever spent any significant time here since going pro? As far as I know he's mostly been in either Chicago or Arizona.

WTF???Fit wise... I agree. ROR to Peg does feel like a great fit.
I'd think that trade starts with Pegs best prospect.
Something like ROR for Nashville's choice of Yager, Lambert or Barlow + 2025 1st (top 12 protected, but currently projected as 30th overall) + Ville Heinola (youngish throw in).
