Simon Edvinsson and 1st? He's in Dallas no-trade shortlist with Miro, Robo and Oettinger

Hintz isn't UFA until 2024, so Dallas will try to win with him in the core in the next year or two. If it gets to summer 2023 and the team stinks and he doesn't want to extend, then he'd be on the trade market and be a huge target.
Does the 1st come with top 10 protection? Otherwise, two top 10 picks seems excessive. One doesn’t but two?
I don't think two top 10 picks would be excessive, generally speaking.

I don’t see why he wouldn’t be available. Contract expires next season I think and Dallas is unlikely to make the playoffs this year let alone the next.

I’m not even a Wings fan but lol
So....they'll resign him. I'm confused why a very good young center with size and is producing would be moved. Unless he wants out which there is no indication this is just a pipe dream.

Only way he's available is if he wants out, demands too much money on his next deal, or just falls of a cliff and the team does too. Stars just re-signed Pavelski to keep the Hintz line together for at least one more year.

The price would be very, very high.

You think 1st line centers are free? This is actually low price considering that Dallas doesn't want the trade. Edvinsson can easily be the next Brannström/Juolevi etc.

Look I'm as pessimistic as the next guy, perhaps even more so, but as of this morning they're at a roughly 75% chance of making it in, with 3+ games in hand on everyone chasing them for that second WC spot.

I'd say it's far more likely they DO make it in this season. What they do after that is anyone's guess.

Also, re: Hintz? No take backs, Detroit. :P

As a Wings fan, I'd love to see Hintz in the Winged Wheel, but why on Earth would the Stars give up Hintz? It would take massive overpayment, which would make it not worth it for Detroit.

So it’d cost a lot of rupees to get Dallas to drop Hintz?

..I’m sorry, I’ll leave now.
