Not sure this was mentioned here already:

I guess that explain why he was available late in the draft despite having the toolset of a 2nd rounder.
WPW is a real pain in the ass to deal with when it's acting up, speaking from experience. I wonder why he doesn't get surgery to clear it up seeing that he's an athlete. Usually is noticed in your 20s

I think 5-10 lbs a year is credible for a hockey player from 18-22.
But even offensive linemen don't add 20 lbs a year in most cases. And they are big bois.

But a lot of players have added 15-30 lbs between the NHL combine and 22 years old.

Listed at 6'4 205 when he was drafted in 2022.
So a little skeptical he's now 235, more likely 225 or so.

Though it's possible the 205 was an old number, possibly from when he was 18 and first draft eligible. Other than the NHL combine measurements, hard to find trustworthy heights and weights.

I don't really believe those numbers. Putting on 20#? Sure. But 20# of muscle in like 4 months? Nah. Not unless you're juicing.
He’s apparently 235 which is pretty unnecessary for a hockey player in this day and age unless you have Chara’s frame (235 puts you like top 10 heaviest guys in the league). And there’s next to zero chance that is all “muscle”.

Good self awareness to know the shit this team eats up though.

We have like nothing to watch for except Michkov this year.
I disagree. Or maybe digging for reasons to watch but I'm looking forward to watching York try and progress, I'm looking forward to watching Farabee try to score 30, I also want to see how Ersson does and see if he can do better if his you should just better. Also looking forward to seeing how Frost can do if he plays with Michkov and I see the progression of Foerster. But that's just me of course.

Given that most of these players will be in TC at least for the first couple weeks, this is more about getting a feel for players I haven't seen live before.

Exhibition games will be more informative, watching them against better competition than they see in the CHL, and generally the AHL.

With no practice time, these rookie games are more like pickup games at the neighborhood rink.

He's 6'4. 235 isn't unreasonable if it doesn't impact his mobility, if it does, then he'll need to drop 5-10 lbs
