Henrik has to do better than let in 3 goals on the first 15 shots against him. That winner by Simmonds was particularly weak. Not a good penalty for Dorsett to take but high sticks like that happen to everyone sooner or later. Other than that the team didn't finish a number of glorious chances and they let the Flyers control the play in the third period. Kreider had a goal but his weak back check on Couturier and the missed empty net--not a particularly good game for him. That the Rangers wouldn't have scored on the pwp kind of negated the effect of that when Brassard scored.

The Rangers also did not do as well as the Flyers in the physical game within the game.

Worth a shot. Richards isnt close to the player he was but playing with better linemates might be good for him

the east-west vision he had on that outlet pass to stralman in the middle of the 3rd was gorgeous. He's a great playmaker for sure.

I would be content moving him up to the 1st, I think it's worth a shot... Brassard is good, but putting Step or Richards with Poo is useless in my opinion. Not unless Zucc is on that line.

Kreider-Richards-Nash
Hagelin-Stepan-Callahan
Pouliot-Brassard-Zucc/Miller
Carcillo-Moore-Boyle

Dorsett and Falk should be extra skaters only.

Rangers 69
Flyers 68
Caps 67
Jackets 65
Devils 65

We've played well enough to have a bigger lead.

This has got to be, by far, the most infuriating Rangers season in some time.

That is discrediting every other team though. Once the Rangers started playing well, every other team in the Metro followed suit. This is not the same weak division from the very beginning. Every team is playing well. Rangers will need to fight to win every game, because if they miss it, it will be by a point or two.

Hank had a rough day which was for me kind of expected coming off the olympics. He will be fine

St.Louis has 2 goals today already(29 on the year)....Damn, he's making it harder for the Bolts to trade him.
Sather should tell Yzerman that Cally likes to get the puck deep... that'll sweeten the pot !!

Didn't see the game today..how did Hank do? He was playing good going into the break.

A few more face-off wins would have helped.....

What concerns me about a game like this is that philly took a physical game to the Rangers and it worked. Not only does that not bode well for us in a game that had a lot of meaning right now, but it also says a lot about our chances against the broons who are really the EC team to beat. A team that is at least as phyisical, has more scoring talent, better goal-tending and much better defense.

oh futility

This is sobering too, because even if we catch Stevie Y napping and we end up with MSL somehow, I still don't see how we can win an ECF, assuming we can even get that far.

Cant be scared of tough teams. Rangers beat the hawks twice. In the playoffs you face good teams anyway

But we lose to the flyers so you saying we should be afraid of the bad teams but not the good ones. We need points to get into the PO so I rather have the panthers tomorrow instead on the much talented angry Bs who lost at home today. We'll see tomorrow how good we are.

Hagelin ahs had a rough year for sure. Im mean he is never gonna be a top line player or anything BUT he used to be a effective player

Hope they come up big tomorrow against the pride of Finland. Cally, step and McD owe him one too for that bronze disaster.

MacTruck will definetly but i wouldnt count on cally and stepan. Callahan has one step out the door and stepan ahnst really showed up much this year

Can we vote Dorsett all 3 times? Or slip AV in there for one of the votes? Dorsett has been dog **** all year taking stupid penalties and then he gets put in the lineup over Dom Moore? Stupid.

98% of me agrees with you. The 2% that disagrees thinks he's been playing more like horse **** than dog ****. But we can agree to disagree there.

I was high on him when we got him, thought he would be a fan favorite in the same vein as Prust. I was pretty wrong.

I was hoping the same but he is a far cry from the level Prust brings to the table. Carcillo has been much closer to that level and has been superior to dorsett.

Trade Dorsett

Face offs will kill us if we make the playoffs, guaranteed.

I've been really happy with Carcillo. Gets under player's skin and isn't completely devoid of skill. I'd prefer him over Dorsett at this point for sure.

I loved Dorsett until we brought Carcillo in... Quite frankly, he not only replaced dorsett, but he's well surpassed him in quality of hockey and IQ...

Factoring in his lower cap hit, and the fact that you can get away with resigning him for the minimum QO (maybe a few $100,000 more), it's a no brainer to stick with Carcillo and trade Dorsett for a 5th round pick.
