Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. He’s been a beast defensively. Playing huge minutes and making his presence felt every shift. Makes a huge impact on the game. He’s been a key to the isles recent winning run.

They are without Dobson, Mayfield, Pulock, and Reilly. He’s being asked to do more than what he’s capable of right now because of the injuries but is holding his own so far.

It was because Lou traded previous 1st round picks. The fans just complained that Lou traded another 1st cut in reality Romanov is better than what we’d have with the pick currently. The player picked (no idea who they would have taken) might have finally played an NHL game by now. I’ll take the 25 year old top pairing LHD who plays a physical game over that any day of the week.

Don't know who they would have picked, but Nazar was selected with that pick.
Dach is still 23 and missed nearly 2y of hockey so only time will tell. I do really like Romanov though.

He's certainly not a 30 minutes a night bonafide #1D. But he is a terrific, physical, defensive-minded contemporary "stay at home" complement to a huge minutes puck-mover. Isles injuries probably have him playing a bit over his head at the moment, but he's certainly shown that he's capable of playing top-pairing type minutes with the right partner and situation.
Habs are in decent shape with LH shooting defencemen anyway, but i still don't fully understand why they decided to move him in the first place. Desperation for a big Top-6 Center notwithstanding...

I mean, i can certainly see the impetus behind it...i've just never really understood why that was the option they landed on to get that done. Especially since Romanov had even at the time, demonstrated at least some ability to play either side. But i've also always been a lot lower on Dach than most...even before he hit the NHL and ran into seemingly perennial injury problems. So it was hard to really ~reason out~ compared to a guy who looked like he was tracking to become more or less exactly what he's actually panned out to be; as that solid, physical, defensive presence capable of handling top-pairing minutes with the right partner.
Just seems like there should've been a different way of going about getting that pick to chase Dach, even if you're absolutely dead set on boring down that dry hole.
